Gastrobus Bantham Beach in South Hams

Worst experience ever.Def there is a wait of 30 minutes but they loose my ticket in the fryer and start calling the other numbers past your number .Turned up and asked them what happened. No acknowledgement it's there fault and then some managers turns up and explains there is a waiting time without understanding what happened and walks away.Never again.This is my local beach and I am bame

Decent but it's a seller's market down there kids. Bring a BBQ or packed lunch

What a shambles. It wasn’t a particularly busy day and although I got my drink and a pre packed sandwich for my wife, I unfortunately went for the Classic Burger. 23 minutes later the guy shouted that my burger was ready. 23 minutes for a burger from a burger van!!! I sat down and bit into what looked like a nice thick burger but to my horror the meat was red and not cooked. As anyone should know, steaks can be rare or well done but processed meats like a burger must be cooked through and never red or you’re very likely get food poisoning.My wife said to take it back but having waited 23 minutes for an undercooked burger I saw red, got up and threw the whole thing in the right hand General Waste bin - if the owners want to have a look.Verdict - poorly run, badly managed, poor food hygiene, and anyone who ate a burger today between 12pm and 1 pm should think about seeing a doctor.

Went pumpkin picking and decided to take a trip to bantam beach with my son and the dog. I hadn't been bantam in 30 years. And like another reviewer said the only option bakc then was the pub or a small shop about 10 mins walk from the beach. We decided to have a drink and a burger. My wife had the cheese burger, I had the bantam burger and my son had the hotdog. Burgers were proper meat burgers and the hotdog my son loved it. OK it was a little expensive but I've paid alot more and got alot less for my money when your at the beach. Staff very friendly and food was lovely....... I will deffinatly be back for another burger soon....

The tastiest of burgers!! And the staff are fabulous, very friendly. I would thoroughly recommend if you’re in the area

One of the best burgers I have had in a long time. My wife had a vegan burger, with vegan cheese and mayo was equally as good. Coffee very good, looked like they have their own Bantham blend. Definitely be back.

On arrival just 3.30 we where so looking forward to having a cup of tea on the beach but when asked ,"closing up no hot drinks just cold now " very disappointed my partner settled for cold drink .Could of done so much more trade as people still turning up .

The best beach food ever we thought, came back just for the Gastrobus.Right by the beach and great food. The best breakfast brioche buns with locally sourced sausage and bacon - delicious we had them twice. They are all made fresh to order, so there is a little wait for the food. Breakfast is served until 12 noon, then it's the lunch menu until about 3pm. They also do cakes and flapjacks.You can eat either on tables nearby or they give you a box to take your order to the beach to eat.The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The burgers here are incredibly tasty and cooked just right...a perfect burger patty and by far the best on our travels. Love the fact they only use local fresh produce. The staff friendly and a beautiful beach.

The deluxe hot chocolates are the perfect sweet treat after a day in the water! The burgers are cooked to perfection and are nice and juicy. The staff are very kind and are always willing to chat. Wait times are decent depending on how busy it is. 9/10
