Very good food and staff

This is the second time this week I’ve come up after a long shift at work and they’ve closed earlier than advertised by a good hour which has caused me massive inconvenience. Would not recommend as they may just close without any pre warning.

Always excellent quality and super friendly

This is our regular Chinese & often have take-aways. The menu choices are great & the food is of great quality.Their Beef Chow Mein with green peppers & black bean sauce is outstanding.They deliver to a fairly wide local area & the staff are really friendly.Highly recommended.

The food is good, and it is a house, that much is true. However the prices are just too high for a Chinese takeaway and charging 50p for each use of card payment rubs the salt in a bit.

Absolutely the worst Chinese meal I have had in many many years. Possibly ever! Ordered 3 dishes, egg fried rice and spring rolls. The spring rolls were partly burnt and partly undercooked, takes a special culinary talent to manage that. The king prawn tomato dish was unbelievably salty, the Thai squid was way undercooked and the batter was soggy and the squid rubbery. Beef and black bean sauce tasted like cardboard. The only acceptable part of the meal was the rice. A year ago I'd have happily ordered from here or the Phoenix and not been too bothered about which, expecting a decent meal from either. This was just unacceptable. I will not be back.

Food was amazing! Except for the half chicken & chips (and a extra portion of chips, were over cooked, hard)! Daughter couldn't eat them. 😞Friendly delivery driver, a smiley chap! 😀 🍚 🥢 🦆 🐔 🥩Would of been five stars ✨ but, fair enough the chicken was dry, same as the chips were cooked too long!

Ordered delivery and was sadly disappointed with the quality of the food and then the customer service. Better options elsewhere in Totnes. Crispy beef was incredibly overdone and was told this is how it was cooked...I don't think blackened meat that is too hard to chew is how it should taste.

Food was fantastic and really generous and I would have given full stars but unfortunately the owner was not great at all and I won't order from here again on principal.I called at 2145 (delivery times between 1800 and 2200) for a delivery to a location 15 minutes down the road. I was initially charged £5 for delivery which wasn't an issue at all and the new guy who took our order was absolutely brilliant, really helpful and I asked if it was ok to deliver to here etc... all was fine, order accepted. The owner then called back 15 minutes later to tell me I had to pay an additional £5 (delivery charge now £10 total) for delivery because they would have to delivery out of hours (place closes at 2230, it's now 2200) plus order was agreed 15 minutes ago.I ordered well within the delivery times specified, they willingly took my order and then proceeded to try and charge me extra as they were delivering out of hours (which was not true). The owner then tried to tell me I needed to calculate the time and should have ordered earlier to give them more time. I refused the extra charge and she argued and insisted, so I cancelled my order on basis that I was miss informed and was well within the delivery times advertised and I would not have ordered if I had known they were going to charge me £10 for delivery. She then argued that they had already made the food (2200), this went on for about 10 minutes. She then backed down and gave it to me at the initial price (Inc. Initial £5 delivery charge) but only on this occasion and next time I had to order earlier...I suggested that perhaps she should change her website and tell her staff the correct information and not take orders after 2130 if this was the case, as I do not own a crystal ball. It is a real shame because I probably won't order from this place again on principal.-Ordered at 2145-Delivery orders taken between 1800-2200 (place closes at 2230)-Order was checked and accepted.-Food was cooked by 2200 (according to owner)-Owner tried to charge me for out of hours-It was delivered to us at 2230 (by brilliant new guy)- extra charge for?!If you do order from here just make sure you have your wits about you and a crystal ball so you can work out correct ordering times.

I have been using this establishment for years, but last night after ordering different meals for 4 people I was shocked at the standard of the cooking, could not have been the same chef. Curries from here are usually very good but this time it was like dried powder, no sauce at all. The other meals such as special chow mein were dire, It was that bad we threw all four meals in the bin and I rang to complain ... politely !!! but the lady put the phone down on me. I phoned back and got a guy, all he said was sorry, and even when I told him on top of the issue that they had sent sweet and sour chicken instead of sweet & sour prawns they didn,t even attempt replacement or apology, I know I ordered prawn balls because they asked me if I wanted balls or Hong Kong style. Not the first time when something has gone wrong that they shun their responsibilities. I reckon we spend a grand plus here a year because we regularly have large orders for guests and generally use them once a fortnight at £35 a time plus. I will not be purchasing anything from these people again.....absolutely appalled at the standard and particularly their attitude... disgusted.
