Hill house cafe in South Hams

Lovely friendly cafe. Coffee's were really nice and good value. Loved the crockery - such attention to detail. We usually pop in here when visiting Totnes

Stopped off for lunch the owners man and wife looked so unhappy to see new paying customers, the place was empty and the male owner stood outside the cafe desperately trying to get customers in and when inside his poor wife looked as if she wanted to go home. We ordered food with hot drinks and tried some of their cakes it was so sad looking at the owners that I am sure wanted to be else where I really hope their business picks up! apart from the poor reception we received the place was very clean and the food was really nice. The deserve more customers in such a nice place

Good coffee, paninis were tasty. Worth paying £1 extra for bacon... Questionable.

Great selection of tasty drinks and snacks

Alright but not the best in the town by far. Scones were Dissapointing and the promised vegan options were sold out, kitchen closes at 3pm rather than the closing time which is definitely worth being aware of.

Great place to stop for a cuppa when shopping or even just meeting friends

The bacon rolls are amazing really nice people in there friendly would recommend it. They do dog ice-cream what the dogs love

People were social distance, all order,s brought to the tables,, staff very politeAll was ok. Beautiful tree light inside.

A nice welcoming place to go for a drink and a snack. The place was clean and well laid out. Had 2 teas a jacket potato and the chicken and bacon cheese topped baguette. All cooked fresh and was very tasty. Would recommend.

Another great local serving jolly good coffee and scrummy slices of home made cakes! Good quality but basic food on offer too. Worth a climb up the hill.
