End of January so very quiet, so lacked a bit of atmosphere on this occasion, hence the 3 stars. A quaint low beamed restaurant which I'm sure would be better when all covers are in use. Couldn't judge quality of food, service, atmosphere for busier times.Friendly family run business, which gave a warm welcome. Offers a 3 course specials board Mon - Thurs. Lunchtimes only for group/ party bookings on request.A very good full main menu of good quality home cooked styled food.Our order was beautifully cooked. A good tasty starter. The main course chosen with a large Gressingham duck breast in my case, cooked as requested, in an adequate amount of plum sauce. Offered in separate dishes were two types of cooked potatoes and a dish with a brightly coloured vegetable selection. Dessert menu offered but requested the individual raspberry pavlova as was recommended from the evening's specials. Wasn't disappointed. No fuss coffee and chocolates to finish.With good company, an evening very well spent.Chef comes out at the end of the evening to chat to customers. She obviously gets to know regulars and asked after people not attending on this occasion.Will definitely be returning.

Ate here for the first time on a Sunday evening. Extensive menu choice, really lovely food and the table d'hote menu offers very good value. Surroundings are pleasant and intimate and Neil, the owner and last night's waiter and barman was very friendly. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Nice, quaint, small restaurant with excellent staff and very good food and wine at very reasonable prices. Access to toilets is up extremely steep and curving stairs - not for those who find movement challenging. Enjoyed ourselves and will go there again.

Deceptive frontage looks like a little cafe. Excellent food, even if vegetarian. Low ceiling restrictive to tall people & restricted access to toilet. Great food, will go back again. Street parking outside.

Neil and Annie are excellent hosts to all. They and their staff are friendly attentive and greet each 'customer' in a welcoming and friendly manner - you can just relax and enjoy the food and the ambiance. The food is amazing every single time. My parents in their late 80's but still with high expectations have been going there for years and swear it is the best place to go and nowhere nearby compares. My other half and I definitely recommend Just Williams, and we are still enjoying the experiences of eating there, again and again. Thank you Neil and Annie.

Do Not, I repeat, Do Not buy anything from this place. I placed an order for catfish plate during my lunch time.20 seconds after paying, I was informed that there is a 20 minutes waiting time. My lunch time is only 30 minutes.I asked that the order cancelled and my money refunded. The cashier refused. No manager around. No one answered the phone.THEY STOLE MY $10.00 before the order was prepared.Don't buy from this place. Ever. Bad experience.

I and my family and friends have dined at 'Just Williams' many times and have always had a marvellous meal enjoyed by all. We love the friendly and cosy atmosphere. The specials board always offers a great choice as does the main menu. The food is 'REAL' and delicious and prepared on site using fresh ingredients. Often using fresh fish that has been caught by the owners. The Pavlova I had last Thursday just melted in the mouth and was made, again, on site - no commercial bought in 'stuff' here. The prices of both food and wine are very reasonable. I can recommend this delightful restaurant with complete confidence that it will, I am sure, be enjoyed by all who eat there. Neil & annie are amazing, always helpful and great hosts. It's lovely to find a restaurant that has a homely feel with great food and even better finally a place without children! because when you go out as a couple after bringing up 2 children for years its a real treat! Would always recommend to anyone!
