Lopes Arms in South Hams

Very friendly, very busy for Saturday afternoon. The service was excellent, the food was good. I would have given 5 stars, the only thing that let them down were the chips! I don't get chips which are full of air. It seems to be a new trend, but unfortunately I want proper chips, thick cut or skinny, not air with fat around it. However I would recommend it, if you like those chips

Food excellent also nice and hot, ambiance good. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent service. Good menu with plenty of vegetarian options ( not just the usual veg lasagne) Highly recommended.

Perfectly adequate. This is high praise indeed from a market full of below par providers.They get pretty much everything right.Rooms were a bit cold, breakfasts are meh and the beer was terrible but I stayed twice; a total of 5 nights.It was fine.

Had 2 Christmas meals over 2 days so I could get to see all my colleagues.All 6 dishes were well cooked,tasty and nicely presented.Friendly helpful team credit to the pub.Good selection of real ales as well a bonus.All in all a lovely friendly welcoming pub ,well done the Lopes team.

Revamped winter menu which should have enough choice to please everyone.The food was cooked perfectly and substantial enough we didn't have room for dessert, pity. The staff were all very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Worth a visit, either lunchtime or evening, midweek or weekend

Very good hotel. I stood here for almost five weeks and I would come over again.The staff is very friendly. Nice people at all. The food is delicious. Rooms are very comfortable and clean.
