Visited Ocean’s this evening with two local friends from the area and my two girls. Having stayed in hope cove for six years this was our second visit having been last year. The service was attentive and very friendly and the food was amazing … no pictures unfortunately as we ate it too quickly. Definitely recommend the croquettes as they were incredible. We will be back!

One of the best restaurants in the South Hams.True, it’s difficult to get to; you have to drive along some narrow country roads. But the food is excellent, the menu is large and varied, and you can combine it with a lovely walk either towards Hope Cove (west) or Soar Mill Cove (east)

We're staying in inner hope cove and thought we would take our dog around the coast path to ocean restaurant which was about 2 miles. On arrival we initially intended on just having a drink and walking back how ever we were made to feel most welcome even with the dog .we thought we'd try the food as well. Good decision food was top notch scallop special to start.Best scallops ever and the source was to die for. Mussels for main and crispy duck salad with melon and cucumber. Both these dishes were really good as was the wine. Would thoroughly recommend.

Had dinner at Ocean on our last night of a short holiday in Devon. Wish we'd discovered it sooner! The food was excellent, service was attentive without being over the top and the ambience relaxed. I was served quite the prettiest risotto I have ever clapped eyes on and it tasted as good as it looked. My partner had the gluten free fish and chips and said it was the best he'd ever tasted. Getting GF batter 'right' is so important but surprisingly hard to find. This place got it right! The setting is fabulous too.

Having pre booked we were shown to our table and then ignored for half an hour. We weren't offered water or menus. When the food finally arrived my plate was chipped which I pointed out after we had eaten, but was offered no apology.

We went there for lunch May bank holiday weekend. Food is awesome. Both of use tried fish and it's so fresh. They have a unique batter for their fish & chips which is so nice. We sat outside to enjoy the sun and the fresh breeze from the sea. Service is wonderful, enough parking and wonderful facility. Definitely recommend if you are visiting the area.

This was our first visit to the restaurant despite walking at Bolberry on a regular basis. We had an amazing meal, I had the fish of the day which was beyond expectations and presented beautifully. The service and ambience were perfect. Well done team. We will be visiting again soon. Thank you for a fantastic time

The food at this restaurant is as good as the views. The quality is great and the staff is happy and attentive, the young lady serving us showed she took pride in her job and really wanted to make our night the best she could. If all restaurant staff were like this, every night out will be a success. The food was amazing, especially the fish dishes were great. The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot, great to go for a walk before or after to enjoy the coast of Devon. I do recommend Ocean, a great place we will come back to!

Went for lunch great food all was really tasty. I would go as far as to say its the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. I would say though the the portion size was actually too big as I could not eat it all by a long way, and I hate food waste so a bit smaller would be better! A range of local draft ales and good starters. Location great with a national trust carpark nearby with great views for walking or in poor weather just sitting in the car and looking out.
