Rochelle's River Cafe in South Hams

Tried to compare Cornish cream teas with Devon cream teas and was told they were out of scones. Ha, cowards. Nice cuppa by the river though, lovely friendly staff. I will return. 😁

I usually visit this cafe alot with the Young Adults I support but yesterday the young adult I was supporting left feeling very frustrated and upset. She asked to have lunch at this cafe and i explained that they may not blend food but we can only ask... so I asked the cafe if they could Whizz/blend food for them to say YES we would usually blend food but the chefs are too busy today. It wasnt explained about soups etc. The young adult I was supporting became upset with this reply! We do everything we can to make them feel included and then this was a knock back!

Good river side seating. Quiche and salad was tasty. Service was mixed. One person attentive and friendly. Another member of staff a bit abrasive and felt a bit awkward with ordering coffee's after lunch. Dog friendly. Access level.

Oh my goodness. What lovely pleasant and polite staff. I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I've had in a long long time. Quality ingredients and well cooked to my liking (I like really really well done bacon and sausages). Not stingy with the portion sizes either. Coffee was very tasty, I even had a second cup!Cakes to die for. Prices are good as well. Only downside is I'm now at least a couple of stone heavier after my visit 🤣Definitely a go to place for good food and great service.

Dog friendly, lovely coffee sitting overlooking the river with the sun shining.Friendly staff.Always good to find locations that welcomes dogs rather than ostracises their owners!

Lovely little cafe by the river. We sat outside ( under cover) right by the river. Had two baguettes with crisps , coleslaw and of course a cheeky beer!👌 Good quality food and well presented.

Lovely riverside restaurant which does superb breakfasts and lunches! I had the crushed avocado with eggs on toast (ser picture). Nice atmosphere with helpful staff members. It is appreciated that this place is dog friendly!

Nice cosy cafePlenty of seats inside and outside nice balcony outside overhanging the river great view relaxing with the sound of the river.The girls serving behind the till Pleasant and courteous. I found it rather bizarre how I ended up with a warm scone out of the microwave no jam maybe they should combine the two together. The toilet was clean and tidy and catered for all walks of life disabled and a changing platform for mum.
