Rockfish - Takeaway in South Hams

The cod and chips were easily up there with the best I've ever had. The fish was fresh and succulent and the batter crispy without being sickly. The chips were not greasy and had been cooked to perfection. Add to that the clean premises and friendly staff you can't go wrong. The only possible downside, though not enough to change my rating, is the lack of the other usual items found in fish and chip takeaways; pies, fritters and the like. If you want fresh fish and chips to take away, Rockfish is the place (although Plaice isn't on the menu).

Fish and chips here just as good as the eat-in, with the bonus of being able to eat outside away from other people in these COVID-y times.

Very disappointed with this chip shop,ordered large cod,chips and mushy peas. I’ve had bigger fish fingers than the ‘large’ cod from here and the chips were obviously the dregs from the bottom of the fryer as they were nearly inedible. Definitely won’t be going back!

Lovely chippy. Food was delicious, staff were super friendly, very reasonable prices and lots of choice. Our choice of halloumi was absolutely delicious and we look forward to revisiting 🍟

Next level fish and chips! Not too heavily priced for location either, but quality is worth paying for! I've had much worse and more expensive! My wife is gluten intolerant and I was told they could do anything gluten free. Even she said that was the best she's had in a long time, even before the intolerance. Can imagine the queue gets quite large at busy times, but we were lucky to walk straight in. Will come again whenever we're in the area.

BEST fish and chips I've ever had in my life. The haddock was a good size and it was so flaky, as fresh fish should be. The chips were very nice and so tasty. They were a lovely golden colour and not stale like some other places we've had fish and chips! If you go to Dartmouth please try out these fish and chips. This shop is only for takeaway but they also have a sit in restaurant which we haven't tried. Another important fact was that the portion sizes were very good considering the fish and chips were not exactly cheap but still well worth the money 😋. I'm hoping to go there once more before returning home!P.S. The shop is right opposite the ferry drop off so you can't miss it.

Excellent gluten free fish and chips. To have the question "Do you have any gluten free fish and chips?" answered with "What do you want? Cod, haddock, hake..." The chips are cooked in a dedicated fryer and were amongst the best my wife and I have had. The meal was made by someone who understands gluten intolerance and Coeliacs disease, as his wife is a sufferer.They are certified as a gluten free restaurant. We made a beeline for this takeaway when we got off the ferry. The queue when we left proved us correct. Thank you.

Very very tasty but a bit pricey. Perhaps I'm out of touch with prices for takeaway cod and chips. £35 for 3 portions and a child's portion. Sat on the front eating it overlooking Kingswear.
