Signal Box Cafe in South Hams

Superb brekkie, small cafe with loads of charm sat aside the Totnes railway station. Well cooked and sized breakfast, highly recommend. Didn't even know it existed!!

Great location on platform 2 at Totnes, I recommend the Super breakfast with extra toast, Cosy atmosphere, good simple food.Returned here post covid restrictions in October 21, the cafe was less cluttered and the food was just as good as before along with the freindly service as always.Sit against the windows for a close up view of the station operations.

Just had a wonderful Sunday Brunch takeaway, from the Signal Box Cafe. It was kindly brought down to our car by a smiling member of staff. Nothing’s too much trouble. Great value for money.

Cosy, old fashioned caff situated in an old signal box at Totnes station. They serve various hot breakfasts & lunches. Good value for money & friendly staff.

What a breath of fresh air it is to see a station cafe that is so down to earth and serving good honest meals/breakfasts/lunches and brunches in a traditional way. Its also wonderful to see a business making use of an old railway building such as this large signal box with the interior being beautifully laid out. The staff were very friendly and our meals were truly delicious as was the hot drinks. And what better way to enjoy this than sitting and watching the world go by with views out across Totnes station. So to sum up, thoroughly enjoyable food, friendly staff, fantastic location, 5 out of 5 and will definitely return again :-)

If u like the atmosphere of stations, then this is great. Good old fashioned cafe effectively on first floor level alongside track. I work near here and in winter pop in for a chip butty and mug of tea. Great selection of papers and mags to purchase too :)

I take my toddler here every other weekend or so for a treat. I have a proper fry up and he has a bacon sandwich and we watch the trains go by from the elevated windows of what used to be the signal box. I look forward to it and he enjoys it as only a two year old can when there are trains involved. Definitely my top choice for a fried breakfast in the whole of Totnes.Good value for money - greasy spoon upstairs, panninis and coffee downstairs.
