Smeatons Smokehouse in South Hams

Placed an order through just eat which was accepted and i was given a delivery time. Received a call 20 minutes later telling me that part of the order was out of stock. This is the second time this has happened now with this restaurant.

Absolutely banging food! The best burger I've had! And I've had a few burgers in my time let me tell you! Ribs also beautiful and just fall off the bone! Customer service was brilliant from the gent who took my order to the lovely lady calling me for payment. Even the delivery driver was very nice and courteous a great team all round if you ask me!!Will definitely be back again! Thank you smeatons!!

Best burger I’ve had in plymouth absolutely delicious couldn’t fault it. Went for the smoked burger really well smoked. Honestly telling all my friends about this place now.You will not regret ordering from this place

Order placed and accepted at 6.07pm, 7.30pm called to see where food was to be told it was next to be cooked, they didn't have half of what we originally ordered and would be with us in 20 mins. 8.45pm food finally arrives! Chicken burger 1 piece was dry and no real flavour, steak sandwich (replacement) I've had better from subway!!! Churros stale/hard as if kept under heating not freshly cooked. No apologies, nothing. This place has gone downhill rapidly, won't be coming back.

Absolutely shocking, had a burger that was £15. The chicken in it was rank and tasted like lighter fluid of some sort, the burgers were equally as bad and the pulled pork was tasteless. The dirty fries were on the same level, asked for pulled pork and blue cheese, so the taste of cheese should have been strong, but no taste whats so ever . Wouldn't buy from here again as mcdonalds triple cheese burger and mozzarella sticks would have been alot better 👎🏻

Probably one of the worst places I've eaten from in a long time. Ordered the food at 6PM and at 7:30pm we called them asking where the food was just to be told they didnt have the brisket (got the philly cheesesteak sub instead) and that they hadn't actually cooked the food. Asked how long until we got the food was told 20 minutes and it arrived at 8:55pm. 3hour wait for the most disappointing food I've ever received. Wont be ordering from here again.

The food was delicious... The beef burger was really good quality meat and so juicy! The dirty fries could have done with some more topping as couldn't taste blue cheese or see many bacon bits however still very yummy. The cheese and chorizo croquette balls were divine! Also delivery much quicker than expected especially on a Bank Holiday weekend and food kept nice and hot. Will definitely order again!

Absolutely unreal food! Just happened to pick something random on Just eat and we were extremely surprised with the quality of the food as we hadn't heard of it before. The burgers have an amazing smokey taste to them and you don't even need to add sauce because it has so much flavour. Considering how amazing the food was I am surprised it's so affordable. This is the kind of quality I would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. Would reccomeded 10/10! Will definitely be ordering from them again.

We ordered our food on Uber Eats at 4:30, for delivery between 6 and 6:30. We have had food from here before and it was an hour late, so we thought we would be prepared this time and get our order in…They cancelled our order 5:50! 10 minutes before the delivery slot! No warning. I called to ask why it had been cancelled, and there was no answer. I wouldn’t have minded if they’d cancelled earlier, giving us some warning to prepare something else, but cancelling 10 minutes before the delivery slot starts is just ridiculously poor service!!

Horrific! I don’t like to normally complain but our food was over an hour and a half late, and by the time it arrived it was cold. The halloumi fries were disgusting & the chips not much better. We were told by someone that they had handed our food to the driver and it still wasn’t here half an hour later (we live round the corner). When the delivery driver turned up, he said that was impossible, he was somewhere else in the city. Overall very disappointed.
