"Situated on the banks of the beautiful river Dart in a stunning Grade 2 listed Great Western Railway station building, Platform 1 is an award winning seafood restaurant and champagne bar. Our menu concentrates on the best fresh ingredients including seafood platters, mussels, oysters, lobster and always a fantastic catch of the day. We use local suppliers wherever possible and also have meat and vegetarian options. Head Chef and Devon local, Hannah Black, has worked tirelessly to put her stamp on the menu of this iconic restaurant. The restaurant has an unrivalled panoramic view and an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy refreshments. A great restaurant selling a wide range of food & drink items with the choice of indoor & outdoor seating, some of the tables have outstanding views of the river dart & all the boats that sail by from the windows whilst you are enjoying your meal & drink, breathtaking.

Just finished an absolutely lovely breakfast here. For a party of six in the off season, we were greeted by a lovely chap behind the bar and directed to sit anywhere we pleased (It being the off season we had the run of the place). We each had a full English with different changes and requests for each of us, our server took extra care to ensure our order was 100% correct, and in 15 mintues they all arrived on piping hot plates all at the same time. The food was excellent and plentiful, with extra toast for each of us. Well worth visiting, even in the pouring rain!

A restaurant located in the Dartmouth harbor close to ship station with a lovely interiour. We enjoyed the English breakfast with a marvelous view around Dartmouth harbor.

Lovely views and we really enjoyed the cottage pie and the fish and chips

Called in for tea and cake before catching our coach back to south Wales. Cake was really good and served with lovely ice cream. At £6.60 I didn't think it was overpriced - this included a pot of tea.The toilet was upstairs and they weren't joking when they warned of hot water I almost burnt my hands. And the stair handrails could do with a good clean they were very sticky.

Ok food and ok service. It could be really nice with some effort.

The service was poor. The menu wasn't clear and the staff don't cope well if you want to slightly change an order. Any requests are met with an eye roll and sigh. There are plenty of nicer places to go in Dartmouth.

Had a lovely cream tea here with my partner and daughter alongside tasty ice creams. service was very fast and staff were fine. Gorgeous views over the river and harbour, seating is inside and out.

We would recommend that you book a table for a meal (as we did) as this popular eatery gets very busy, particularly in the summer. The menu is comprehensive with the added bonus of some gluten free options. (One of our family is gluten intolerant). There are choices to suit every palate. The fish and chips are delicious, as was the crab. Freshly cooked and well presented. The puds and ice creams are scrummy! All served up by lovely professional staff in glorious Dartmouth.

Asked if the waiter could change one of the cream teas to be served with a hot chocolate and happy to pay extra however waiter abruptly rejected our offer after already rolling his eyes at another cream tea order saying 'I'm fed up of cream tea orders'After recieving our orders my mum asked for some butter with her scone. The same waiter then simply replied 'no'. As we all gave him looks of disgust he then rudely explained that on the menu it doesn't include butter. My mum explained that she knew it didn't come with but was happy to pay for some. He then walked off saying he can see what he can do. After speaking to someone he finally gave us some butter.Very bad customer service.NOT RECOMENED (but if you have to don't ask for a cream tea or butter)
