Plenty of parking, limited menu but great food and good portions. Friendly staff. Lack of comfy seats

The Avon Inn is a lovely traditional country pub that has been reconditioned to a high standard. They serve great food with traditional roasts on Sunday but book in advance to avoid disappointment. They have lots outdoor room with plenty of under cover outdoor facilities.They are very friendly and accommodating.

Ordered the stew - it came luke warm with an uncooked dumpling . I was asked if I’d like it replaced or something else so I took the opportunity to order a burger - it was also cold, the cheese hadn’t even melted on the burger . They allow dogs which was good as I gave them my cold burger . The chips were very good though and the staff friendly.

Brief visit this time, nice beers and plenty of Covid safe seating outside.Minus one star for £5 minimum spend on a card. As a single customer it makes getting a pint expensive. 1st place of any sort since I've been to post Covid that's had this limit.

Met friends for lunch a couple of weeks ago, the men chose the s/k pudding and my friend and I chose the beef stew and dumpling, hers was fine , mine less than luke warm in the middle of the dish so back it went when it came back the stew was very hot on the edge of the dish , but only warm in the middle SO having a micro wave at home I knew what was done to re heat this dish , the young lady who served us couldn't have been nicer , but I do think that the person who runs the inn should go on a 'how to be pleasant to your customers 'and smile , the first impressions of people in retail are very important and this person gave us the impression that she didn't want to be there.

Very friendly staff and owners. Good home cooked food - big portions so be hungry! Great selection of beers and cider.

We came down from North Devon for a couple of nights in a local cabin, we checked out the pub before checking in where we stayed, we were delighted, great beers, cracking honest locals, Landlord and Lady, food and service excellent, we will be back and we have already recommended to our friends

The Avon is great and quirky little pub. After refurbishment during lockdown they've made it bigger with outside space. Friendly staff and decent car parking 👌

Really large free car park over looking the river with lots of outdoor space for adults and children. Food was fantastic , more than enough portions at a really good price.Toilets were clean and fresh.Staff were really happy and friendly and the resident dogs are well behaved. Pets are welcome without any fuss.Card payments were welcome and there is free Wifi. Will be returning next time in area
