The Church House Inn, Marldon, Devon, TQ3 1SL in South Hams

We popped in for lunch today and were really impressed; the Halloumi fries were perfectly cooked, the lentil cottage pie was full of flavour, warmed me up a treat after a cold stroll along a beach, and my partners chicken and mushroom pie was lovely. Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff, we will definitely visit again when we're back in the area!

Used to be lovely here. Not got the same friendly atmosphere. Food not that great but expensive for what you get served .

Sunday Lunch today at the Church House, big thank you to all the lovely staff involved there was 10 of us plus the 3 meals you also boxed up for us to give to my Daughter and Grandchildren as they had to isolate. The meals were superb and the atmosphere was lovely, also a big thank you to Polly who went above and beyond to make our Family gathering happen at short notice. Thank you all

Excellent place. Lovely service, fantastic wine list. The pate starter was mediocre at best, sliced white warburtons bread toasted and 'soldiered' the pate cash and carry not made in house. However the Ribeye steak and chips was first class perfectly cooked and succulent

2nd visit , as loved it so much last year. The flatbread and dips is to die for which is why I had it for a second time, hubby had smoked salmon salad and our daughter had the children's chicken nuggets and chips. Dessert we had a cheese board to share and chocolate fudge brownie and all food was thoroughly enjoyed , planning our next trip for next year .

The food we ordered ranged from decent to absolutely top-notch. Calamari wasn't the best I've had but the hake builbasse was mouthwateringly delicious. Very pleasant garden. Maybe time to retire the "Devon Dining Pub of The Year" sign from 2013, or up the game a bit to try and win it again!

Been to the Church House Inn twice in the last three days. Lovely setting within a beautiful village. Nice country pub setting. Friendly bar/waitress staff very polite and welcoming. The food well all I can say is AMAZING. Not yr standard pub food. The menu is not so extensive as to make decisions difficult but enough to have a choice. They also have a restaurant area as well. We ate in the bar as we have dogs which was no problem. Also plenty of outdoor space on lawned areas. Would definitely recommend treating yourself to a meal here you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing lunch! Our 1st visit here and will not be our last. The staff were so friendly, gardens fabulous and the food was excellent. Cannot wait to go on an evening

Incredible pub and meal. Feel very lucky to have discovered it. The curry was delicious. As were the mussels. And the sticky toffee pudding was a great way to end the meal.

Lovely pub in a lovely location. The services are swift and very friendly. I had mussels last week, loved the food and location so much, we went again for lunch today. The chicken terrine is flavoursome and my husband's oven baked salmon is fresh and tasty, the NY cheesecake is moreish. We will go back for more!
