Brilliant pub by the sea with amazing fish menu. Food is really tasty! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pub has wheelchair/pushchair access and baby changing facilities. Great selection of local drinks and locally sourced food. Outdoor benches are right on the sea front - couldn’t think of a better location to enjoy some tasty food and a pint.

Excellent service. As someone who is allergic to garlic they were very helpful. Best garlic free Caesar salad ever. Also soo dog friendly

Very nice atmosphere, and dog friendly. The burger was delicious, the chips were just perfect. The fish on the fish and chips was massive, food came out fast, and was really hot. Thank you for a brilliant meal. 👏

We went here for a birthday lunch and we were struck by the friendliness of the staff. Perhaps, it was because we had our cat with us, but everyone was welcoming, warm and friendly; especially the young guy who waited tables and did the bar.I have to mention drinks. When you serve a pot of tea, please don't put the teabag in the cup and serve a pot of water on the side: the tea never steeps properly like this. Always put the teabag in the pot and make sure the water is boiling.The food was well prepared and presented. The fish was fresh out of the sea and generously proportioned, the chips were chunky and crisp. The vegetarian risotto was tasty and creamy; considering it was a squash risotto, I would have appreciated some pieces of squash in the dish.The apple and blackberry crumble was generous, warming and hearty.My only slight gripe was the price. It was a little overpriced but considering the location on Start Bay and the well presented venue, this is a small point.

A fabulous pub with a warm welcome, great ambiance and awesome food. Visited twice whilst staying at Startpoint and enjoyed both visits. Loved all the old photos of Beesands and it's residents. Fish and Chips were excellent.

I have been disappointed with so many pub meals of late, but not with this one. With the chill of winter coming on, we stepped into this warm and welcoming pub, and our cheeks began to turn red with a warming glow. The staff were both friendly and professional. The service quick and the food fresh and tasty. I had the one vegi option, moussaka. It was a real treat. Fish is the main food here, and my companion's all had fish of one kind or another. All were pleased. The one down side were the sides. We all felt they let the mains down a little. I am happy to report Tabasco was available.

Had the most wonderful few nights here… stayed in the Oval room… fab window seat in the room that looked right over the beach and sea… food was absolutely delicious … Lobster was the favourite! Room and whole pub was scrupulously clean… Great welcome and very friendly staff. Will definitely be on my ‘ stay there again’ list…
