"Dartmouth's last bastion of The Great British Boozer. A Good Selection of fine wines. Ales, Ciders and Lagers. This is a naval town, we have over 20 Rums and a list of gins too. Snacks are available or visit our friends at Savours, The French patisserie is next door for a feed to enjoy back at the pub. Canteen Kitchen remains temporarily closed but we prepare fresh salad Baps most days & occasionally hot pies at the weekends. We’re currently opening on Mondays from 3pm & from Noon the rest of the week. Last orders 10.30pm."

The atmosphere in this pub was fantastic. The bar staff were fabulous and the Chef, well the food was cooked perfectly - all fresh - local produce and soooooo tasty ! Absolutely wonderful place for food, menus changes often and we would highly recommend this pub for food or a drink Thank you!

We stopped over for a couple of nights this week and had an enjoyable stay. Excellent hosts who are clearly working really hard to get the pub up and running again having only been there for 12 weeks.They were both very friendly and clearly work well as a team. They serve good old honest pub grub and i have to say that the portion of scampi i had was the largest i have ever had.A good breakfast followed each morning and the fact that the pub and accommodation was dog friendly was a real draw.We will definitely drop in again and wish you all the best with your plans for the future of what is after all a lovely pub in a wonderfully secluded location.

New couple with proper Northern spirit have just taken over here. Great pub, lovely stay and will be back for sure. Accommodation is clean, nice bathroom and oldie worlde. Lovely choice of ales too.
