Our aim is to provide quality food at reasonable prices within a friendly relaxed environment and you’re always guaranteed warm welcome. There is also a selection of Light Bites perfect for those looking for more of a snack but the quality remains the same using the very finest of locally sourced ingredients. The interior has an understated elegance that provides a wonderful setting for a cosy romantic meal for two or can be the perfect venue to celebrate with a larger party for birthdays, anniversaries christenings and weddings."

The interior was well presented and welcoming. The staff were very relaxed and friendly, taking the perfect amount of time to come for out order and delivering wonderful subtle food, again with impeccable timing. It was a classy, stress free experience which was much enjoyed!

Birthday meal here tonight and it was first class. Between us we had meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and all were excellent along with accompanying sides. Definitely recommended!

Roast lunch…lovely although at 1:30 they’d sold out of Lamb. The meals were lovely but I was surprised that there were just 2 very small roast potatoes each meal. I was also very disappointed that that the roulade desert (listed on the menu as sponge) was meringue with cream it was too sweet for me

My partner and I recently moved to Ivybridge and we went here for his 30th birthday. Absolutely amazing food, presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. Fantastic staff, professional, rustic, homely feel. Lovely restaurant, will definitely be coming back.

We loved our evening. Tasty starters, my prawn salad was delicious, tasty and light which was perfect for me. Divine mains, highly recommend the rump of lamb. My partner devoured his Beef fillet. Also delicious desserts, with a Bailey's to accompany it. Service was perfect with friendly helpful members of the team. Reasonably priced too! can't wait to come back for the Christmas menu. 100% recommended.

Sunday roast sublime sandwiched between lovey starters and deserts. Service is excellent and also a lovely wine list. Vegetarian wife was delighted with the Stilton and broccoli tart. Absolutely recommend and will be definitely going back again and again. Top drawer 👍

Fantastic little bistro tucked away in a small village.Very good menu with choices for everyone.We had a selection of starters mains and desserts and all were presented very well and tasted amazing. Attentive service and a nice cosy feel to the bistro.Highly recommend you pay a visit.

Very disappointed. Although we had pre-booked they were obviously too busy to take orders or serve us at any time near our arrival time. Orders were taken and food delivered after substantial delays. Front of house avoided eye contact at all time except when accepting payment when a weak apology for delays was given. Most food seemed OK but my duck breast was luke warm with no crispy skin and also rather tough. Will not be returning

Just eaten the best meal we've had so far on our short break to Devon. The First & Last Bistro is just excellent. From the understated decor, the friendly, attentive service to the superb food. Top class cooking, no ponce, just straightforward thoughtfully prepared produce. A real class act that doesn't break the bank. Thank you so much. Thoroughly recommended
