Where is The George and Dragon?

🏠 Mayor's Ave, Dartmouth TQ6 9NG

"Fabulous refurbishment of a traditional but run down pub by award winning architects to a quirky blend of old and new. Historical features have been retained wherever possible and combined with unique finishes including dragon sculptures, local artwork and photography of the town and the river that is just 200m away. The G&D now has the biggest and the longest bar in Dartmouth, the largest and only real Beer Garden, plus a separate Coffee Shop with homemade cakes and desserts. Our new kitchen and cellar are both state-of-the-art with equipment and capabilities second to none in the area. Check out our website and Facebook for updates on our current menu, Chef's Specials and Offers such as our 2-4-1 Steak night on Wednesday's low-season."

Lunch with family. Dog friendly inside and out. Immaculate impressive toilets in two-tone blue with amazing matching sealant - you'll see what I mean. Lovely food, extremely pleasant friendly staff, very clean new stylish decor inside. Large outdoor seating area. Perfect cappuccino.

We had a tasty chilli and a bottle of wine here a few days ago. The Cory lady who served us was very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our food in this cosy pub.As it was March and on a Monday it was quiet but we can imagine it would get busy in the summer because the pub has a big sunny terrace outside the front of the pub.We will definitely be back next time we are in Dartmouth and would recommend this place.

Great place for family lunch, bit noisy as a result. However, the food was good. Allergies worried the staff, which made me think they need to get a better grip on it

Loved it, really great food, and the friendly staff made the visit even better.

We didn't stay, but tried to have a meal. After having a pleasant meal here on Monday 22 Nov with the very helpful Claire, we decided to return on Friday 26th November. Unfortunately we arrived at 8.20pm to be told, quite smugly, that the kitchen had closed 30 minutes ago. I was then directed to their competitors, who we had walked past to get to the George and Dragon. Currently having a fab meal at the Royal Castle!

Lovely place! Outdoor seating all under shelter so no chance of getting soaked in a shower! Dog friendly, decent sized tables for many people, only went for a drink but are intending on going back for the hubby's birthday for a meal, can't book so we gonna chance going hoping there will be a table for us, adviced us to avoid busy times to guarantee a table, looking forward to out next visit!

Only place we could find that wasn't all bookings in Dartmouth. Sat outside in the barmy summer evening. Lovely meal. All 5 of us had a great time. Great service even with the current restrictions. Highly recommend. Thanks for saving our evening.

Lovely place. Didn't wait very long for our food. Food was OK. My grandsons burger was pink though. We did let them know but they assured us even though it was pink it was OK, didn't want to chance it with a 2 yr old. Was offered some more chips in its place but we declined.
