The Green Table in South Hams

Ok, so if you live in the Totnes area you will already know about Green Table Cafe. If you're new to the area or passing through, make a point of visiting Dartington Hall and grab lunch here. The Crispy Sesame Tofu, Kohlrabi Slaw and Lemon Tahini Sauce Brioche Bun was to die for.

Food wonderful. Had a lovely salad. Loads to choose from on the menu. Really good table service

Wow, normally I struggle to get one vegan choice and it's usually a burger, not here, several choices of vegan lunches, all imaginative and the one I chose was yummy. They also have about 5 vegan sweet choices, oat and soya milk. Staff were lovely, the place and general atmosphere is great. A brilliant little hidden gem. Dogs allowed outside, not sure about inside though.

It is tricky to review this.Great location, and good food.ButDisorganised and getting away with it.Last two time I've been here there were problems with the chef and half of the menu was not available.It is honestly head scratching how poorly managed this place is.Probably lack of competition and the location allows this place to stay in business for lack of alternatives.

I love this place- but wish they had better single-use policy. Also, there’s a charge for vegan milk options.Again, I highly recommend, I just wish they were better environmentally

Good tasty food, happy staff to greet you and a barista that can make better than alright coffee - yayy, at least now i've found a decent cafe hangout and with plenty of gluten free choices. We had 3 chicken sandwiches on gluten free bread that were tasty as. Actually the gluten free bread was so tasty i bought 2 gluten free loaves home with me. Totally relaxing place with with Dartington Hall across the road to discover after you've smashed your daily kilojoule allowance with cake snd coffee. There's paid parking behind the cafe as you never know where those meter maids are lurking. Get your whole family here for a big day out!

Great food. Gf and vegan. Dog friendly. Close to Dartington Hall and a walk round the gardens . Parking machine an absolute pain though

I have been coming to Dartington for 40yrs, and I had no idea that this cafe existed!! I still cannot believe it. The menu choice is very good and the salads on view looked delicious. There were two soups on offer and we chose the pork and black bean chilli soup with rye bread. And absolutely delicious it was too. The service was excellent, so many staff around. It's quite a big place yet we got the last spare table so obviously it's well known. There is a huge veranda at the front with views if it is a lovely day.
