Have eaten here a couple of times now the food is outstanding always piping hot. Friendly homely atmosphere, nothing was to much trouble. Comes highly recommended, as does the sticky toffee pudding. More visits planned for the future xxxx

Amazing food quality, for an amazing price cannot fault this place. Friendly staff could not do enough. Been a couple times and would highly recommend trying it!!

This is a great pub with a lovely country village feel to it. Always great food and drinks at reasonable prices. A super place to sit outside and watch the world go by in the sun.

Visited today whilst on a trip to Bittaford researching my granddad's birthplace. This would have been his local pub back in the 1920 and 30's! Lovely food, very quick service and great value for money ... I had scampi and my husband had a steak, both nicely presented and well cooked. Lovely day so we sat outside in one of the covered pods. Very Covid secure. We will definitely visit again when next in the area.

Visited a couple of weeks ago after moving to ivybridge, the whole experience was like something out of a faulty towers sketch, the pub was empty, yet my partner and I got seated at a tiny round table. Ordered a pint of coke and it came out in a glass what was somewhere between a half and a full pint, we ordered 2 steaks one ordered rare and the other medium, the waitress forgot which was which, and it came out with one single sad looking onion ring. Have since been told locals avoid the place and call it "the doom and gloom"!

Friendly service, great drinks, food needs serious tending to. Myself and 2 others ordered a burger with chips. The chips were soggy and had no flavor. The same goes for the burger. The fish and chips were good according to a friend. So if you are only dropping in for a drink, I’d have no problem recommending you to come. If you are hungry, you should stop somewhere else first.

A lovely meal at the Horse and Groom.We booked a table and on arrival were warmly welcomed. The eating area was clean and well laid out. The food arrived without delay and was exceptionally tasty. I had the 'surf n turf' whilst my wife had the sea bass fishcakes.The service was friendly and professional.We will return - next time I might have the burgers which looked amazing!
