Amazing pub. Fantastic real ales, great food and reasonable prices. Staff were brilliant. Book well in advance if you want food as always fully booked. Proper pub! 11 out of 10.

Busy, quaint, oldy worldly pub with friendly, attentive staff. Food & real ale was excellent...the most huge doorstep sandwiches with delicious fillings. Add a bowl of chips and you struggle to finish! Dog & people friendly....we had a lovely chat with those on a neighbouring table. All in all a delightful experience..see you next year.

We had a delicious lunch here. We had fish & chips and the steak sandwich with chips. Both were perfect...those chips!! The service was great and we had the company of the pub's very sweet cat. It was good to see so much locally sourced food and drinks available. We'll visit again soon.

We had a wonderful time is this cosy pub. All the staff were lovely (especially Clara) I had the best meal I have ever had there on Friday night, a perfectly prepared, cooked & seasoned steak - utter perfection! Complete with a gorgeous pub Cat to make friends with too, a real hidden Gem. Looking forward to returning upon our next holiday.

What a quirky little public house. Brimming with character, and with intriguing objects and memorabilia everywhere. The back bar consists of a rack of barrels with taps driven in from which beers are poured, and overhead nets contain packets of crisps. We took Sunday lunch and it was utterly spectacular and HUGE. Without a doubt the most absolutely most delicious and fabulous Sunday luck I have ever tasted. Amazing ingredients skillfully prepared with just the right amount of flourish to be special without losing the sunday-lunch-ness loved by many. The Yorkshire pudding where the largest and fluffiest I have ever seen. A top find and well worth almost any amount of effort to sample that plate.

Oh dear, i looked at the website and assured my beloved that the public house would be open, drove through the narrow lanes and skipped past the delightful thatched cottages to find.. Sorry we are Closed.. that was my Journeys End and almost mine as well. I should have looked at Facebook where it stated not open til 5 pm. But when you find it open, you are transported back in time to log fires, cask ale in barrels and food from a great chef.. hence the 4 stars. Me, well my beloved will still marry me later this year despite her immense disappointment.

This is my idea of a perfect pub. It has chracter, charm and interest in every corner. The bar is well stocked with as much care and consideration as the excellent menu.We arrived in the middle of winter on a wet Thursday and had the place pretty much to ourselves. We returned for a farewell meal on the Friday when the place was busy with locals and a few tourists like ourselves... I will definitely be back soon.

We had such a lovely lunch, the food was delicious, the cider refreshing and the staff really polite and friendly. We walked from Challaborough which was about 40 minute walk. A great little pub, we'll defo be back ❤

Fantastic!! Best Sunday roast I've had. And the biggest. Well cooked and tasty. Staff were lovely. Socially distanced dining was good. Only complaint was the dining plate was too small. The food didn't fit!! Had 2 bowls with the veg in. Shame they don't open Mondays and Tuesdays as they would be busy. Especially this time of year. We'll worth a visit!!

If the Journeys end was a beer it would probably be Heineken...the food was luscious, the service friendly. Our Sunday roast was the best we'd eaten in a long, long time and we've eaten quite a few...
