Where is The Millbrook Inn?

🏠 South Pool, Kingsbridge TQ7 2RW

"Nestled between land and sea, at the top of a tranquil tidal creek on the Salcombe estuary, the Millbrook Inn is a hidden haven for those who enjoy good food, great wine and a pint of local ale in front of the fire or by the brook. We take great care and love in our offering, and source the finest local drinks, produce, and highest quality meat and vegetables from our family farm, Fowlescombe Farm, about 15 miles away. Our food is prepared and served simply to reflect the seasons, in the tranquil South Devon country surroundings. Our home, the idyllic village of South Pool sits within easy reach by road from Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes. At high tide it’s just a short cruise up the water from Salcombe."

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. Proper little pub. I'm still thinking about the beef and marmite crumpet.

A small village pub with friendly staff. Had a drink but the menu was very limited to the point that out of 5 of us none of us could choose a dish we fancied. Way off from what one normally finds on a pub menu, even at a gastropub level.

We stopped today for a quick drink on our walk. What a little gem of a place. Great beers, wines, and the service was fantastic, we were served by Megan who was so knowledgeable and very charming. We saw outside a bbq Smoker that was smoking two whole salmon fillets, we met Ian the chef who was very informative and offered us a sample of the salmon, It tasted amazing. As we were about to leave we asked directions and the lovely manager Caitlin came over with a map and gave us a detailed walk plan. Thank you to you all, and we wish you the very best in the future.

Excellent hospitality and excellent food. My partner has a condition where she doesn't eat vegetables and faced with a menu of French influenced food she was panicking. Some restaurants think entirely too much of their food and would sneer at the request to remove the vegetables. Thankfully the chap serving took our order and our food arrived with an extra lamb chop for her in place of the veg. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We look forward to coming back.

We visited as a table of 6 this past Sunday and all agreed it had to be the best sunday lunch we have all ever had! Everything tasted amazing and there was nothing to fault. The service from the two girls was faultless and also the guy who I imagine was the owner, was so friendly and welcoming. They where very accommodating, especially considering we had a couple of awkward requests. My husband and I are considering a return trip just to enjoy the food again! The pub itself is very quant, with live music as you dine, the perfect place to spend a sunday afternoon.
