Not been for a while and the restaurant area was shut but the bar is very nice, all staff were great. Richard (think he's landlord) was great host.Well worth a visit for a Sunday roast. (Beef was great). Certainly in top 5 in plymouth

I lived in Wembury many moons ago, from the great winter of 1961/62 I believe, we moved to Devon for the milder weather which made me lol at the time, have great memories and was blessed to grow up in such a wonderful village my father who was a violet alcoholic managed to get himself barred double quick time which I shall forever be grateful for, didn’t stop him but at least he was no longer able to embarrass my mother & I & had to drink far away thank god, my mum was buried in the church overlooking the sea, I still go down there & sit & have a chat with her, lovely peaceful setting & shows how well respected my mother was in the village, Wembury has expanded beyond recognition, we played 20 + aside football on the village green which has sadly (sorry to you new residents) been built upon, great times in the woods horse riding at the top of Brownhill lane & down at the beach stables which belonged to the Swiss (lol) chalet camp, new romances once a fortnight chasing of the lads from the naval gunnery school who would try to muscle in on our beach, not a massive lot to do with the Odd Wheel you think but it is as this is where the customers come from, never got involved as been more or less teatotal all my life, would buy bottles of pop and crisps with little blue bags of salt inside so you could make your crisps as salty or not as you liked while sitting in one of the two phone boxes in the village, lovely times so much to tell so little space & time, Thank you Wembury I really was blessed to grow up in such a beautiful location, bye bye you all & if you are thinking of going to the Odd Wheel, Do it as it will be well worth your while, good bye for now Wembury see you after this stupid man made pandemic has passed on & we get some normality back in our lives. Bless Bless you all

Gorgeous pub with wonderful decor. Really friendly landlords and wonderful food. A fabulous place to go to sit in front of the log fire after a good walk along the south West Coast path. .

Lovely local pub, great landlord. They had a simple menu, but the food was exceptional.

Visited this evening from Kent, wanting to take our host out as a Thank you, we were looking forward to a hearty pub supper but was faced with a foodie disappointment. Scampi and chips was a child's portion and the chips were under cooked, burger was a result! Prawn salad basic lacking in imagination. However, atmosphere was enjoyable and the outdoor space an advantage. Felt our feedback was not a matter of importance. This pub has the opportunity to be a "real destination" rather than slap dash and poor value for money.

Had lunch today, good quality food at very reasonable prices. Beer and wine both very good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Easy to park, local pub with very pleasant staff. Food was lovely although one might suggest a little on the expensive side but good quality and delivered quickly and with a smile.

The whole experience was gratifying. Cheerful attentive staff, delicious food (you need to be super hungry as the portions are enough to satisfy Geoff Capes) and a homely atmosphere. All the tables were full and everyone was chatting away, yet I could still hear what was being said on our table. Lovely evening. Thank you! 👍👌😁

A nice pub in a good location with good selection of beers and other drinks on tap. Been in a few times recently and had very different experiences. The youngsters working behind the bar are really chatty, friendly and welcoming.Sadly the older chap who I’ve met a few times now is quite the opposite. Made quite a fuss of us sitting outside for food, came over to tell us we would have to go indoors to collect a menu, then walked back indoors himself…. Openly accused us of planning to run off without paying the bill! So not exactly a welcoming vibe from this chap.Hope he is the exception to the rule as all villages need their pub to work and survive in difficult times.Food is tasty with generous portions, nachos particularly nice.

Was nice to pop in for a drink, we had our horses with us and think they were more concerned about where we were stood and sort of got shoved to the side by the bottle bin. Others have had a good experience though. Will pop back again another time to try once more but in absolutely no rush after that. Been in before without horses twice and was brilliant, loved the vibe and staff were so lovely.
