The Rock Pool Bar, Thurlestone Hotel in South Hams

Went to Thurlestone hotel today for a networking event and tour of the hotel. It was beautiful, the grounds, spa reception rooms and restaurant are very good.Staff were polite and friendly and the scones were delicious!I'll definitely be coming back!Update June 22 - visited again for another networking event now the pandemic is over. Views are spectacular and staff were attentive and helpful.

A wonderful place with great rooms, personal service, excellent cuisine at breakfast and dinner especially.Highly recommended.

We had a lovely cream tea. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the patio was a perfect place to enjoy!

Still my favourite Hotel locally for drinks, dinner with Friends and a lovely view of the coast. A friend recently stayed so only saw his room briefly and it was to an standard and style you would expect. I prefer more boutique but that is my taste. The excellent service and food is why I keep going back.

Sadly after having a lovely ( albeit expensive) stay at this hotel in early December I have been left with a very bad taste after receiving what can only be described as a complete lack of customer service both from the hotel staff and the Golf Club. I received a £100 parking fine from a private company for parking in the "incorrect" car park to walk along the beach. We followed the signs saying that payment was to be made at the Pro Golf Shop but as this was closed we could not make payment. The car par was deserted, probably due to the very cold, damp conditions and as such we left the car and walked along the beach for half an hour. After explaining the situation to both the Gold Club and Hotel staff it is disappointing to be told that it not their problem and they can't intervene we should have apparently walked to the very far car park where a pay machine was apparently located. After being a loyal customer both at Thurlestone and Mullion Cove Hotels, I shall consider very carefully any future visits. Disappointing!

Excellent staff, excellent food. Just a really lovely hotel who understand service, all done in a low key way.

Amazing food, service and staff. Would recommend. Love the open 🔥 in the Village Inn, and they were serving Avocet from Exeter Brewery 🍺🍻👍😉

We initially booked for 3 days but enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. Welcoming staff on Front desk and importantly the hotel was well decorated throughout, well lit and always clean. Spa has the wow factor and restaurant was always high standard. Separate review submitted. The Village Inn provided a lass formal environment to the Trevilder restaurant for dining.View from Dining room is fabulous and so will be back again next year. Certainly would recommend to others.

Hotel has not changed, apart from decor in Restaurant, and Terrace etc.Warm and comfortable as usual. Appeared to be short staffed this evening,whilst Xmas fair was on. Some traders charging over the top, for items, due to venue and potential clientele.

Not the cheapest of places but a really lovely hotel. Rooms are great and the beds very comfortable. Food is excellent and for a hotel I really liked that the main menu changed each day. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Most guests seem to stick to wearing masks which is reassuring. The out door pool was clean and a lovely temperature. There was a lack of seat covers but a few towels surficed. We checked out but didn't use the indoor pool. The grounds and small golf course make for a pleasant evening or morning stroll. There is easy access to coastal paths with several sandy beaches just a short walk. Plenty of parking. Be warned that the access road is narrow single lane with passing places.
