I stayed here as I was doing a course nearby and it was perfect, better than I expected. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and warm, nice extras provided like teas and biscuits the toiletries were lovely quality and plentiful of them. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, my only comment would be perhaps a bit to salty but then that can be down to taste. But it was lovely place to stay, eat, have a drink. If need to stay up that way again I will be booking again.

Enjoy going but find it to be more of treat to go, due to the prices being on the high side. Food is good and staff are generally okay.young staff don't seem to want to be there but they still serve.

A wonderful pub and accommodation just outside Plymouth. Easy access to dartmoor and the South of Devon.Wonderful food and mulled cider. Incredible table service and a big shout out to jacqui who was so polite and welcoming. We will definitely be back. The accommodation is also fab. Very large, clean ensuite room. Shop across the road. Tea, coffee, TV. And a bathtub 🤩

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Rose & Crown. Our room was clean and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The food was of an excellent quality set in an exceptionally friendly environment. We will definitely visit again!

Very lovely and cosy pub with very nice food and the outside seating area is lovely. Only reason it didn't get higher star was it was out of cheese when we ordered and there was a small piece of plastic in my partner's ice cream .

A cosy pub with a lot of potential that is not met at the moment. We went there as a group of four, had different starters first, some of them (leek ravioli) really, really good, some very low key (dry forcacchia). Then the main meal came and it was a massive disappointment. We ordered pumpkin risotto and it was a watery soup without flavour and a few pumpkin pieces that were not roasted before. One of us even received only half a portion because they ran out of risotto. After we mentioned this, he got more risotto half an hour later- also watery, tasteless and sad.We also mentioned the bad, bland taste and none of us could eat the meal. The only statement we got was: "Sorry, we recently changed the menu."We still had to pay full price and did not get any nice sign of compensation (such as an apology or a free desert). This is a pity because the location, the interior and also the selection of foods is really nice on the first gaze.
