What an incredible experience. This is seafood treated properly. Where the quality of the fish is allowed to shine. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back.

Divine - lovely team all of them - General Manager, Australian lady, fabulous and her food and wine recommendations were spot on.Food was gorgeous, best dinner we've had in Dartmouth and if you like fish, highly recommend - truly delicious. Will definitely visit again

No photos of my food this time as I was too busy enjoying the meal. Arrived very early for our table as we were limited on Cab availability. Were prepared for a long hydration session in Joe's Bar but half way through our first drink we were asked if we'd like an earlier slot that had opened up. Yay. Reliably delicious food at a deserved premium. Sgroppinos a must. 4 happy campers.

we visited the Seahorse on Friday 6 May, a bright and sunny day, so we were able to take advantage of the quayside bar which set the relaxed informal tone from the outset. Our waiter was helpful and attentive and extremely patient with our endless questions. The food and presentation were of the highest standards and remarkably reasonably priced. As an aside, we were pleased that the question of a tip was left entirely with us and not imposed in a mandatory fashion as too often happens. It was a ten out of ten experience we shall repeat very soon.

Fantastic visit to this restaurant. We were one of the first for the dinner setting and so lucky enough to get the only large turbot on the menu that evening. It did not disappoint! Staff were very knowledgable of the food and showed an interest in making sure we had a good evening. Also recommend the tomato salad, courgette fritti and tasty antipasti to whet your appetite before the main event.

Fantastic! This is a serious restaurant serving great food but the service is refreshingly unpretentious .. we went as walk ins post coastal walk dressed very casually, slightly "windswept" with a dog in tow and a ferry to catch so short of time and they could not have been more accomodating and even knocked the cost of dessert off the bill as we didn't have time for it. The food though was also amazing, the kind of food whose simple presentation belies a real depth of and sophistication flavour. Fab!

Really excellent Experience! The whole package when it comes to restaurants which can be difficult to find. The service was 10/10, attentive, polite and Friendly with good humour! Drinks were brilliant… their own Joes beer was a great choice and the negroni I had was one of the best I’ve tried. The food was fresh, extremely tasty and portioned perfectly in my own opinion. Would love to return and couldn’t recommend more! Thank you!

We had really high expectations of the Seahorse but unfortunately were left feeling disappointed. The night didn't get off to a good start as the couple sat next to us were really unhappy with their food and we overheard they were given their entire bill on the house. We ordered a starter each and a main each with a selection of sides. The food was really hit or miss. The scallop starter still had grit and I suspected the scallops were slightly underdone as they were translucent and a bit chewy. The braised beef/lamb tongue dish however was superb! For mains I had the lobster spaghetti. Again, the seafood was not amazing and the whole dish had an odd metallic taste which made me feel a bit nauseous. My partner had the John Dory, which thankfully was really fresh and perfectly cooked. Sides of the courgette fritti were very tasty but the potatoes with seaweed butter were bland and could've been served as plain boiled potatoes and we'd not have known the difference. We skipped dessert as overall we were only pleased with half of the food and didn't want to risk forking out for average desserts.Lastly, I had asked whether a non alcoholic mocktail could be made for me (as I'm pregnant). The waiter was initially hesitant to ask the bar and soon returned saying that it wouldn't be possible. For the price you're paying at the Seahorse and the fact they have their own bar, I felt that was quite unaccommodating. All in all it felt overpriced for such a hit and miss experience. We didn't bother to air our concerns due to the scene we'd witnessed with the table next to us and not wanting to appear to be jumping on the wagon. It's a beautiful restaurant but we wouldn't return based on this experience.

What a banger of a lunch. You are primed from the moment you walk in and see the signed menus of other restaurants and this restaurant has ‘it’. Highlight for me was the Red Mullet maltagliati. All the food was on point. Thank you Ben in the kitchen, Bronte on the floor and all the team. Epic meal.
