Lovely friendly welcome from all the staff. Menu and wines expertly explained. Delicious, mouthwatering food. A super continental style dining experience, lively, buzzy and relaxed. Thoroughly to be recommended.

I have been visiting the Seahorse since it opened. It has never failed to provide the most exciting and varied preparation of the freshest fish. It’s possibly the best seafood restaurant in the Uk . The staff our friendly and knowledgable . It’s simply an excellent establishment. All credit to the Seahorse team

Really excellent Experience! The whole package when it comes to restaurants which can be difficult to find. The service was 10/10, attentive, polite and Friendly with good humour! Drinks were brilliant… their own Joes beer was a great choice and the negroni I had was one of the best I’ve tried. The food was fresh, extremely tasty and portioned perfectly in my own opinion. Would love to return and couldn’t recommend more! Thank you!

Great fish restaurant with super friendly service. Start your experience in Joe's Bar (part of the restaurant) and then take your seat in the very pleasant restaurant and enjoy the food. Great way to spend a few hours with friends and family. Very popular, so book ahead!

Lovely, small place with a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere. The food was amazing, and a fantastic wine selection. Staff were wonderful and the kitchen was busy but completely under control. If you can, take advantage of the locals set menu!

Fantastic Saturday lunch menu. Top notch Food, wine and service and a super bargain too. Can’t wait to return.

Our favourite restaurant bar none. Excellent service, wide ranging, well sourced and priced wine list. But the food here is the hero. we loved our Sea Bass, our clams, our cuttlefish and polenta but also my fabulous Tagliata rib of beef. The welcome that we get at the Seahorse is always warm and charming and Bronte who heads the front of house team is both interesting and interested! It is a winning combination.Faultless.

We had really high expectations of the Seahorse but unfortunately were left feeling disappointed. The night didn't get off to a good start as the couple sat next to us were really unhappy with their food and we overheard they were given their entire bill on the house. We ordered a starter each and a main each with a selection of sides. The food was really hit or miss. The scallop starter still had grit and I suspected the scallops were slightly underdone as they were translucent and a bit chewy. The braised beef/lamb tongue dish however was superb! For mains I had the lobster spaghetti. Again, the seafood was not amazing and the whole dish had an odd metallic taste which made me feel a bit nauseous. My partner had the John Dory, which thankfully was really fresh and perfectly cooked. Sides of the courgette fritti were very tasty but the potatoes with seaweed butter were bland and could've been served as plain boiled potatoes and we'd not have known the difference. We skipped dessert as overall we were only pleased with half of the food and didn't want to risk forking out for average desserts.Lastly, I had asked whether a non alcoholic mocktail could be made for me (as I'm pregnant). The waiter was initially hesitant to ask the bar and soon returned saying that it wouldn't be possible. For the price you're paying at the Seahorse and the fact they have their own bar, I felt that was quite unaccommodating. All in all it felt overpriced for such a hit and miss experience. We didn't bother to air our concerns due to the scene we'd witnessed with the table next to us and not wanting to appear to be jumping on the wagon. It's a beautiful restaurant but we wouldn't return based on this experience.

We had an absolutely amazing experienceI’m still pinching myself that I’ve been to The Seahorse and it wasn’t a dreamYour staff are all amazing, made us feel so welcome and service was incredibleChefs went above and beyond. We squeezed in an extra course of 3 scallops to share and they sent an extra one so we had 2 each. So kind. All the food was delicious and if our travels ever get us back to the West Country we shall build in a detour to visit again

What a banger of a lunch. You are primed from the moment you walk in and see the signed menus of other restaurants and this restaurant has ‘it’. Highlight for me was the Red Mullet maltagliati. All the food was on point. Thank you Ben in the kitchen, Bronte on the floor and all the team. Epic meal.
