We went today. Pub still refurbing after a fire. Truly wonderful. No kitchen yet but they're working on it. Fabulous music (blues), warm and welcoming staff/owner. Chef has a shed outside cooking amazing food. I had grilled chicken and my wife had mussels. They were both delicious. I marvel at what he could do with a full kitchen. Best pub I've been to for a long time. I felt like I was in France.

Sadly, The Tower Inn was closed during our visit but the accommodation provided was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our short stay.

Wonderful old pub, hidden away in a quiet corner of a village.Popular for food the roast we had was really nice with plenty of veg and a good portion!Good selection of beers and a few ciders. It’s popular so you do need to book on the weekend.

Nice classy pub in an ancient building. Attentive staff and delicious (but pricey) meals. Candles brought out in the evening. Good selection of beers. Recommend you get there on foot due to the nearby narrow roads.

Stopped and had a Really good Sunday roast and the meat/veg were perfect. The staff were all efficient and friendly plus they allow dogs. Parking could be an issue if you decide to drive there as a previous review said it's probably best to park outside the village and take a short walk in.

I don't normally write reviews but last night's food was Superb! We had a last minute oven crisis with 5 hungry kids. We ordered takeaway and were blown away. The whole sea bass was one of the best we have ever had!Thank you and well done 👍👍

Food was good, the interior was cosy however the service was poor. Waited ages to be greeted, then there was a mix up with bookings and people were moving tables. Starter arrived promptly but then waited ages for the main course. Asked for dessert menu but this was never produced. After receiving the bill had to wait another 45 minutes before being able to settle up, and the final bill was wrong as well. As others have said more of a pub for locals. Avoid unless nothing else available in the area.

One of the most enjoyable pub experiences of my life! It’s the perfect place to cosy up on a winter’s evening, with its great selection of drinks/beers and delicious food. The service was spot on, and I can’t wait to visit again one day.

I arrived at the Tower Inn quite shattered after the third day of a four day walk/run along the southwest coastal path. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the service was excellent, the menu enterprising (an excellent bouillabaisse) and a superb bottle of English wine (Sharpham Dart valley 2018 reserve). Perfection.
