Tsang's Restaurant in South Hams

Despite other reviews, this was a tasty takeaway. The staff were friendly and the food was hot and tasty. Well worth try.

Dreadful experience. This was the only chinese restaurant in Dartmouth and we were bitterly disappointed. First of all the place is awful inside and out, you would think that the owners would have taken advantage of the lockdown closure to clean and paint the place. Just look at the outside and that reflects the food inside. A very basic order of bbq spare ribs, fried rice and King prawn egg fu yung was a disaster. After waiting half an hour outside the shop (only one person allowed inside) and watching later orders be collected it turns out that they forgot to tell me it was ready. Obviously when i got home it was all near cold. The ribs were tough as old boots and the sauce definitely not bbq, instead it was a watery tasteless pink gloop. The egg fried rice was burnt brown and no egg in it! The best I can say about the king prawn egg fu yung was that the peas were OK. Avoid this place like the virus and try somewhere else, you have been warned, don't waste your money!

Best Chinese ever had!! Visiting from North West and beats any takeaway up there, salt and pepper chips and chicken top level and everything else delicious.

I really did not like this food, it was greasy, over seasoned with small portions and extremely pricey! Struggling to see how they are still in business to be honest.

Staying in dartmouth on holiday and decided to have a Chinese instead of cooking, the lady was very friendly and our food was ready in 15 minuites, but we were very disappointed overall with the quality, the lemon chicken was very tough and the sauce tasted horrible, the dishes were no where near as good as our local chinese take away, the only dish I enjoyed was the Cantonese sweet and sour chicken.

Ordered a takeaway and they said it would take an hour. We ordered the food and went to the pub for an hour. We then came back and waited another half an hour for our food. When we got home we realised they hadn't given us all our food but we were so fed up by that point we didn't want to go back

Ordered a takeaway for a group of friends whilst on holiday. Food was ready when we were told it would be. And everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We had a selection of starters, and mains between us, all were lovely and hot, and really tasty. Staff in the shop were really helpful. Would thoroughly recommend

This was our first time using Tsang's and the food was fantastic. We had a takeaway which was defined! A bit more in price to our local, but was much better too. A good sign was the phone rang as soon as another order was placed.
