Airfield Tavern Table Table in South Somerset

We booked a few weeks ago to celebrate our Dad's 85th birthday. We explained that our Dad has Prostate cancer and was on Dialysis. We needed a private alcove.When we arrived there was a heater, and everything was perfect. We had prebooked for 11 people. The staff were amazing, whitty, and did everything to accommodate us. Friendliest staff ever. Runs like clockwork. Directed by various EU members. Would highly recommend the Portuguese menu, only offered with a pint of St. Miguel!

The staff were nice and the place appeared clean and tidy.There was long wait times, three people ate with there coats on as it was cold, felt like a doctor's waiting room and the staff not interested that my food was unsatisfactory, small portions and way too spicy 🔥,not competitively priced either. Great puddings thoe.

Easy parking and ideal place to stay near to Yeovil town. Restaurant is not busy and the food is very average. Staff are pleasant and the place is very clean.

We visited recently with my brother and his wife. We booked online and requested a table by the window, but we needn't have worried as we were the only customers in when we arrived. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table by the window.The waitress came and advised us that there were a number of dishes that were unavailable and then she took our order and the food arrived within 20 minutes, the peas looked a little wrinkly as if they had been sat under the heat lamp for a while, yet they were still quite juicy inside. The meals were very acceptable, just the right amount to fill you without bursting you.Service overall was very good and efficient, if I was in the area I would be happy to return.On a note about the facilities, the Disabled toilet facilities are right by the front door, not the one to the rear of the building as that has no disabled facilities and there are a few disabled parking spaces right outside the door.

Went to the Airfield on 10/12/21. Had a wonderful festive meal. Cooked to perfection. Great price. Good company. Excellent waitress Bernice. Nothing to much trouble. And attentive at all times. Thank you for a great time.

Food is basic and not of a great quality. I asked for my steak medium rare and got it well done but not going to send back as the last one took long enough to arrive, just been sat in hot plate to long and cooked itself. You get what you pay for.

never seen anything like it. went for a works Christmas meal tonight, they rang 30 minutes before we were due to arrive to tell us the gas wasn't on so couldn't do three of the items on the menu we pre ordered, we then arrived and it caused so much of a fuss due to ones autism that they then said they would do the burger on the quiet but then they made it so early they had to bring it out with the starters which then caused more distress, then there was no sauce that was included in one of the starters, one of the male bartenders/waiters was very blunt, rude and even told one of the ladies on our table the drink would end up over her head! the service was shockingly slow and no discount was even offered for all the trouble caused. unbelievable! definitely do not recommend. I will say the front of house lady was very friendly and polite which is probably the only positive from the whole situation

Went here for a dinner with a friend and it was very disappointing. We both had the Mac and Cheese expecting a hearty, warming dinner but instead see had what seemed like a child's portion with aside salad which neither of us could face as you could tell it was from the bottom of the bag, some lovely brown and slightly slimy lettuce! The lady who served us was lovely and we couldn't fault that but we definitely won't visiting again. I'm embarrassed that I even suggested going there!

Had breakfast and evening meal there during our stay at the adjacent premier inn .The restaurant is spacious and the service was good . Food was tasty , well prepared ,hot and reasonably priced .The continental buffet had a good selection and the hot breakfast was delicious.
