Akash in South Somerset

First time we have used Akash, not disappointed and will definitely be using them again. Ordered online, very simple and the food arrived on time. Excellent food, good value for money, definitely our new favourite Indian in Yeovil.

The Akash is the the best curry house in Yeovil. I am currently enjoying a Vegetable Phall with coconut rice and peshwari naan.. absolutely delicious, very well cooked and the spice is just right. Thanks guys

Ok food, but not great. Good service and buffet menu twice a week. Had to edit this as takaway I had tonight was excellent.

Had a great meal last night, the food was great and the service fabulous.I ordered a Nawabi and it has to be one of the top 3 dishes ive had for indian food and it is served wonderfully. The meat was moist and tender and perfectly spiced. Portions are generous, be aware with having the starter too as this is a large amount for a start. If you are famished then you're in luck ;)Bread and rice were both tasty and cooked very well.The only problem i had was my inability to finish the rice and bread, though i did my best...Top marks guys. Thank you.

Fantastic food! Service was lovely as well, menu was quite hard to understand for example what comes with certain dishes as standard as some has rice and others did not but it did not explain it clearly enough, maybe me being thick I am not sure.

The food is lush. Well cooked and presented, however they have problems dealing with large parties in delivering all the right food to each individual and some had mains without their rice, others had their food but no plates to eat it on! Bit the staff are very friendly and polite and wether you go for a romantic dinner for two or a big leaving party you will have a great time and excellent food.

First visit here in some years as told food had improved. Whilst food on this occasion was ok i found the fact that it was served to us without the normal table warming plates meant that the food went cold quite quickly!!Service was ok but on going upstairs to use the facilities found the stair hand rail to be very sticky near the top coupled with large ungrouted space above sink and no working hand drier or towels in the gents rendered this whole space rather unhygenic!! Felt meal although edible rather below standards of other restaurants in area and probably wont bother again!!

Pretty good place to eat. I'd have liked slightly bigger portions for the price of the tapas or smaller and cheaper for more variety. But tasted good and was a happy meal.

After popadoms and drinks, the main order was taken, 1 hour and 15 mins later, still no food. Takeaways seemed their priority. Not one table in the restaurant was served starters or main the whole time we were there. We got up and walked out. The service was ridiculous.

Visited this restaurant on a work night out recently. I found the experience very cramped and noisy. People seemed to be more interested in drinking than eating. The decor could do with some attention. It’s never good to see ripped seat covers repaired with tape, but based on the clientele I can’t say I’m surprised. The food was poor. My Dupiaza didn’t quite hit the spot and the portion was very small. I think I’ve had better curry from Asda. Also, my Naan bread arrived AFTER I had finished the curry. Really! My pint of Kingfisher was warm. The service was rather confused and haphazard. I know it was busy but you have to be organised and I just didn’t feel this was. If you want decent service and a good meal, I suggest Viceroy across the street. Chalk and cheese as far as I’m concerned.
