Bell Inn- Hungry Horse in South Somerset

I’ve been meaning to follow up with a review since our works Christmas meal.OUTSTANDING in every aspect from initial contact to leaving after dinner. The staff could not do enough for me/us to ensure that our overall experience was of the highest order.The meal itself was served on time and all of nearly 30 guests received exactly what they had ordered, even down to the desired level of cooked steak. We were never rushed or made to feel as though we had to rush and several of us even stayed until the band started in the evening, this from a 1 o’clock start….All in all a very pleasant afternoon/ evening and many have asked if I can book the same for next year???? Maybe, who knows, I’m certainly looking forward to it….Many thanks to all involved for a wonderful experience….

Good place to go, variety of food and drink options. However it can be quite loud and busy at times, you do sometimes have to wait a while for food and drinks

Came to the Bell with my family after a long day and Oonagh was fantastic. 10/10 service and can't think of anything to improve on. Amazing.

Good value and service from the staff at the hungry horse Yeovil. Called in for a spot of light lunch. Hoping to arrange our family Christmas meal here this year. Had to cancel a few years ago due to covid. Good value and friendly staff.

Absolutely 5*, you know what you're getting at a Hungry Horse pub... Or so I thought, but things seem to have really stepped up. The food was very good, everyone ate well - possibly a little too well lol. The service was excellent and quick - especially considering it was a Sunday lunch time. The price was also excellent, 7 of us ate two courses, with a drink, for around £13 a head.I really can't recommend this place enough.

The food ain't bad it's a good place to take kids and its not been so busy lately the food is cheap however sometimes feel like I'm getting rushed out as quickly.as they can get me so the tables can get freed up for the next customers

New Menu, good prices, large portion sizes and good food, service was ok. Only criticism, it never appears to be clean, especially the toilets. No colouring for the children either. But overall it was much better compared too previous visits.

The serving staff were wonderful, however the children's meal wasn't very nice. The corn on the cob was grey and looked old. Peppercorn sauce on the steak was watery and not very nice. The battered hallloumi was really good though and the steak cooked well.

So I have emailed you (yesterday) and no reply?! So assuming it was to just show face on here?I didn't even want to give this one star but there you go. Shocking meal! We came here for my sons birthday,his choice! And we ended up leaving with my four year old in tears!! Shocking service,miserable bar staff,food took far to long to arrive considering we had young kids and it was extremely quiet when we arrived! Husbands meal was cold and had a hair on his egg!! Mine was cold with gristley meat! My sons fish was covered in grease so bad he had to clean his plate before even eating it!! Paid the extra to get drinks and pud and they didn't even get their puds!! Wouldn't even bother wasting your money here,we sure won't be again.

Cosy modern pub with friendly and very efficient staff! Highly recommended!
