Fantastic place with great food! Super friendly and attentive staff. Sarah the landlady is an absolute treasure and made us feel very welcome.

Absolutely SUPERB Sunday lunch! Great communication from my mail booking, friendly welcome on arrival. Excellent service. We all 4 had the roast beef. Absolutely perfectly cooked and wonderful range of veg. Cauliflower cheese deserves a special mention. 2 of our party had the Lemon Parfait which looked beautifully served and was pronounced delicious!Can't fault it..our second Sunday lunch there and we WILL return !

We stayed for one night b&b, Sarah was very welcoming and showed us to our room (no.4) which was larger than we expected, very clean and comfortable, ensuite was a good size and everything worked perfectly. The evening meal was excellent, I had the steak and Otter ale pie and toffee pudding to follow. Thanks to the staff who were helpful and friendly, food was piping hot on arrival. Breakfast next day was very good, a lovely full English and the host, Sarah, was on hand to serve us and keep the coffee flowing. Thank you for a lovely time, well recommended.

Friendly local pub with excellent food. Very hospitable owners and atmosphere. A great place to stop if slogging along the A303

What a great place, the food was excellent, the room we had was clean tidy and the bathroom was to a good standard.The staff made the experience even better.Food standard and presentation spot on, as for price very reasonably.My wife and I enjoyed the stay we will be staying on a regular basesWell done Sarah and Paul

We had a wonderful lunch today at this lovely restaurant/pub. There were six of us and we all had different mains apart from two who had the venison ragu. All the dishes were superb and beautifully presented. We will definitely revisit

Sarah and Paul are excellent hosts.We stayed in Pottery Road with our little whippet (dogs allowed in some rooms by special request). The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast as delicious.We will be staying again in this very dog friendly pub that provides outstanding friendly service.

What an amazing place.. the ambience was perfect, the food.. what can I say.... phenomenal doesn't quite touch it... I highly recommend the mussels and the chicken. All four of us cleared our plates... different dishes had by all..

Just had an amazing meal here. It was an impromptu visit on our way home to Cornwall. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
