I really like this pub, superb choice of food, good choice of beer and cider. Staff have always been helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking as well.

Its was alrightish welcoming... (go find your own seat and come to the bar to order welcoming..)Food portions for the appetizers were good maybe a extra goujon for the chicken goujon dish,steaks were tasty and peppercorn sauce was nice aswell! Would defo recommend thank you again Hayley Tracey, Brad Keith and Lynn and Jess for a nice meal.

I have been going to the Half Moon for many years because I know you always get a good quality meal for a reasonable price. Never had a meal I did not enjoy.

This is an excellent venue for many reasons.Those interested in historic buildings will relish their visit to this 17th century former roadside inn. The beer, served from stillages behind the bar, will impress those who treat the consumption of good ale seriously enough. Regarding this, the Tribute 4.2%abv and the Proper Job 5.5%abv both from St Austell brewery, were in noble condition. Indeed, although not on the Casque-Mark Ale Trail, the pub does feature in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide on a regular basis. Food is important, and the gourmands amongst us will be more than impressed with the home made provender on offer. Beef Lasagne, Steak, mushroom pie and the barbecued honey glazed rack of ribs, were all relished by this party.We were a party of three - your reviewer, very interested in ale quality and an avid follower of the Cask Marque Ale Trail with friends who are a retired publican couple with exacting tastes and a fastidious appreciation of fine food. They, having enjoyed many successful years in the public house sector, are keen gourmets and approving of well run establishments.On all fronts, location, victuals, libation and customer focus, we were suitably impressed. We should also mention Lorri, whose discreet attentiveness was much appreciated. Are attendance here will likely be more frequent.Although this reviewer and party did not stay over, it is noted that quality en-suite accommodation is also ample at this location.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here, atmosphere was great. Quick service. Friendly.

Travelled as a group of 2 couples in Aug. Stephanie checked us in and was very helpful and welcoming. The en-suite rooms were comfortable and quaint. The location was great for travelling to near by attractions and restaurants. Beach was only 35 min drive which was wonderful and the weather held up! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful food, excellent value for money. Great staff. Going back there very soon - many more times!

Had a very comfortable overnight stay with a nice lunch and evening meal. The accommodation was comfortable clean and tidy and just across the courtyard was the pub and restaurant. Both meals were very nice with a wide choice at reasonable prices

Absolutely lovely lunch out with my children. Welcoming atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Food truly delicious! I ate from the light bites menu, a generous portion, filling, very tasty meal. Fair prices. 100% recommend. We will certainly eat here again.
