We have always had a great takeaways from HG. Great that we can now order online (+ pay online). Really recommend the garlic chicken!

Standard Chinese fare. Clean and tidy. Cash only. I had beef chow main. It was very nice, with plenty of meat. Also pancake rolls, again very nice and not to greasy.

Had a take away from here on 30th December 2020. One of the dishes was the House special fried rice £7.10.When I got home on opening the container the smell was awfully. It smelt like something was really off. I had someone else check and they agreed I shouldn't eat it. I tried phoning multiple times and couldn't get an answer. I tried emailing bit haven't yet received a reply.We live far enough away that I couldn't be bothered to drive back over that evening so made my meal out of bits of the other meals we had purchased.Don't have an issue with the food from here generally. What was most disappointing is the fact no one would answer the phone and there has been no response to my email.We will probably be looking elsewhere for a Chinese meal in the future.

We had a take away from here last night. Food was really tasty, it was ready at the pick up time. We’re really pleased to have found somewhere near us that does a decent take-away. One very happy customer.

Most likely the worst meal I have ever had!!!!!The Beef Curry meat was so tough I could not eat it, would have been easier to chew a car tyre.

Reasonable food, but can be a bit bland at times, chicken texture is not good. Room for improvement. Does not take credit or debit cards.

Good quality food and friendly helpful staff, there is a large number of menu choices, so it's easy to find something for everyone and the food is always ready for collection in good time. Payment is cash only but there is a cash point outside of Dykes Supermarket just around the corner.

The staff are very friendly & helpful ,the food was delicious I had vegetable chow mein & my husband had sweet & sour chicken & chips quite big portion ,it does get busy ,you can also do a telephone order I would definitely recommend the happy garden .

I have ordered from here a number of times but last night it was very different. The food was ok but we ordered 2 crispy chilli beef that looked and tasted differently to how it normally comes, the batter on the beef was pale and soggy. We also ordered Hoo Yo Gai Po-Tender Chicken Meat Dipped in Thin Batter Fried to Golden Brown,Topped with Roast Pork, Mushroom, Bamboo Shoot sand Chinese,Vegetables. No where in the description does it mention Prawns as neither me or my partner eat prawns yet hidden in the dish were 2 prawns.More importantly was the service. RUDE. We ordered online like we always do and went to collect it. Upon arrival, I gave my name which the takeaway was ordered under. The guy serving (which isn't the usual one) then decided to have a go at me for not telling him that I had ordered online. Im not sure if this makes a difference or not. Phone orders and online orders are surely AN ORDER! I have tried to find an email address or way of contacting them to speak to them as we were a regular customer but cant find the best way. Sadly we wont be returning as there are plenty of take services that know how to speak to customers.
