Just popped in for food, it was great food that we had, the place was very nice with lots in the way of vintage and interesting vehicles to look at. Will certainly be going again. I was told that they have all kinds of events there also. I shall try to make it to some of these.

Visited again on 25 April 2022 and had a lovely cream tea. Very friendly service. Wonderful to eat and drink in little cabin in gardens, and see how spring is coming along.

Beautiful setting for a hotel, very peaceful, and family friendly.Food is excellent, and a good selection of wines, beer etc.Staff are superb and very patient and helpful. The rooms in the hotel, which was a manor house originally I believe are very comfortable and clean and have tea and coffee.

We stayed in the shepards hut for my wife's birthday and cannot fault the entire place. We had a carvery for lunch which was delicious and then ate in lakeside restaurant in the evening with both meals being absolutely amazing 👏 Very dog friendly and ab amazing find, will def be returning 👍

The staff are amazing....cheerful, efficient nothing too much trouble. A little slow in producing our meal but well worth the wait. Looking forward to repeat visits 😊

Lovely venue. 2 options of how to eat, there is a nice restaurant and on a Friday / Sat I believe they open a country style pub ' The Windy millers'. We chose the latter and sat out in the snugs outside. They were clean warm and decorated for valentine's, which was great. The staff were fantastic, everyone we engaged with couldn't have been any more helpful. The food was tops we had pizzas which were great. We will 100% visit again.

We went for the Sunday carvery and we were seated inside the barn. It had a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious, all 20 of us loved it! Definitely will be back!

Have to say we were very disappointed with the food especially breakfast bacon was completely dried out been cooked for ages and just reheated the eggs were covered in oil which was old and gone passed I had gammon the night before and the eggs were just the same really tasted horrible partner had poached eggs they were both hard and had been reheated she had lamb the night before and that turned up a mess on a plate. No real ale available over 2 nightsThe staff were all really pleasant and the room was good .We live close enough to travel but decided to stay to celebrate a birthday but on this showing will not be returning very poor would not recommend
