Only had lunch ie did not book room. Good food beer and wine. Very attentive service too!

We were very impressed with our lunch at the Kings Arms today. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this pub if you want a great dining experience.

Went for a roast dinner and the welcoming was lovely, Ordered a roast beef and the supposed roast potatoes were more like boiled potatoes not at all crispy which was a shame, could of done with more vegetables. Desert was lovely.

Lovely friendly staff who all went the extra mile especially Clive. The room was a good size with an ensuite and it was reallyclean. The food in the restaurant was delicious and served really quickly in our case. I thought it was good value for money. Eating in the hotel then meant we didn't have to find somewhere else as it's off the beaten track a little.

Exceptionally good food. Service was outstanding. Bar staff very friendly. Managed to book us in at short notice! Would highly recommend 👌

We came to stay as we were attending a wedding a nearby. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left all of the staff made us feel like we were at home. I’m awful with names but the blonde manager who checked us in was amazingly helpful with things to do in the area and got us booked in for dinner without any fuss even though we left it late. The woman who works the mornings (and I’m still sorry for missing breakfast every day) is genuinely brilliant, so funny and so caring. We absolutely loved our stay here and when we come to visit our now married friends, we will be staying here again! Thank you!

It's always a delight to visit and stay here along with our four legged friend. The staff are warm and welcoming and even assist in finding a car parking space. The room we stayed in is well appointed and comfortable. The evening meal was as good as ever, however breakfast was not up to their usually high standard lacking in fresh fruit and yoghurt. Hopefully this will be rectified by the time we next visit. Highly recommended

Beautiful food. Could not fault it at all. I had the fish and chips and they were the best I have ever tasted. And the staff are excellent very friendly.

·

Lovely and quaint place to stay on. Staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful especially with our 3 and half year old very inquisitive daughter. Good selection of wine and beers. Rooms were clean and tidy though remember this is a very old building so don't expect all the mod cons you'd get with a large commercial chain. There was basic tea and coffee in the room though our daughter daughter where was the Hot Chocolate lol Food was great in the restaurant though wish I'd picked the fish and chips which looked amazing! Breakfast was really good and cooked to order really superb. Car parking was at the rear up a slightly steep incline so something to bear on mind for less ably bodied guests. All in all a pleasant stay and would recommend.

After a terrible encounter with staff at a services restaurant we pulled off the A303 to try out this place instead and I'm so glad that we did. With three children aged between 3 & 15 in tow the staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming to us all. Yes, it may have cost a bit more than a roadside American Diner but the food was wonderful and we all enjoyed the meal. I can recommend the dark chocolate and coffee mousse for dessert too if you've a sweet tooth. It put us all back into a better mood for the start of our holiday and with the staff being as fantastic as the food, I'd recommend highly recommend this place. It might be more suited to a special occasion dinner than a quick stop en route, but if you want to avoid the chain places like Starbucks or Subway on a long journey then it's well worth the visit.
