Called in our way home. Enjoyed the carvery, plenty of tasty well cooked food, seconds if you can manage it and then eat a sweet. Nice atmosphere, nice people. Excellent value for money. One problem we live 200 miles away

·

Wonderful owners, great hospitality, food great, loverly old 1800's pub, has carvery, dining area, new pool table, in process of renovation, but governed by listing on certain parts of building, skittle alley, lovely garden area, building outside bar and bbq area. New owners Jo and Phil, great characters and best host I've met in a long long time

Not quite what we were expecting. We had a very warm welcome but the whole place could do with a overhaul and deep clean. The food looked and tasted like it had been cooked 2 or 3 times in advance and reheated!!!!

·

Just had a carvery at the Marston Inn, I must say that it was bloody fantastic, very impressed with the service and the food, cracking atmosphere and very friendly staff which will go out of their way to make your visit a great one! Definitely going again!!!

We arrived quite late due to getting lost. They were so understanding and welcoming and couldn't be more helpful if they could. The bed was comfortably. It was a very bitterly cold night which they had put 2 heaters in which made it lovely and warm we check out extremely early that morning and they couldn't be anymore understanding and accommodating Thank you so much x

Great country pub, the food was outstanding and the staff could not have been more friendly if they tried. only sorry I did not take any pictures. if you are in the area please do go and visit. We need to support these country pubs or we will loose them !!

A new landlord took over this closed pub in October 2015. Since then there has been lots of improvements made to the building whilst still maintaining the traditional old coaching inn feeling. The Marston Inn now has a large selection of beverages including real ales and serves good homemade traditional pub food. A cheerful and warm welcome awaits you.

This used to be a good, friendly village pub with decent, well-kept beer and sitting in the sun in the patio garden with a good pint - ideal! There are new people in now and, sadly, the place thinks it's a restaurant - which it clearly isn't judging by the pedestrian menu - with little interest paid to those who merely wish to quaff a pint or two. Well below average.
