New Farm Restaurant in South Somerset

We recently had a fantastic meal for a group of 10 of us at New Farm in their upstairs room; privately hired out. It was absolutely brilliant from start to finish; excellent communication pre booking, excellent service on the day and the food was totally delicious. Great atmosphere and really lovely staff. Could not recommend this lovely local restaurant enough; do yourselves a favour and pay them a visit!Thank you New Farm!

A lovely welcome from Crispin, drinks served and food order taken. Daughter tried pheasant sausage which she liked! Sea bass went down a treat, not cheap but perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Puddings were coffee roulade with rum and raisin ice cream but I had pudding envy when b/fs meringue and ginger ice cream and pears poached in red wine came out. Thankfully he's not selfish and let me have a try. Always a special treat visiting this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Thank you

Went for pre Christmas lunch with the family, the food was really good and the staff were lovely, always enjoy going here.

They pulled all the stops out for our lovely friend's birthday celebration. Friendly and courteous as always, fabulous surroundings and wonderful food.

As always our group were made very welcome by Sue the owner and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and catered for everyone's needs Thankyou x

I stopped here for Sunday Lunch on the way back from a gig in Bridport. I phoned in advance as I suspected that it may get busy...The room is lovely! Lots of photos on the wall showing the owners' family heritage. All locals going back several generations.I had the roast beef, Yorkshire pud, and vegetables. The portions weren't huge but it was enough to keep me going for a long drive home.Nice chat about tribute bands to the owner Sue (I think, sorry if that's wrong!) who clearly is very proud of her place, and rightly so.It's very out of my way so although I'm unlikely to visit again, I really enjoyed my brief stay.Thanks x

Visited here for a lunch reservation. The booking process was seamless. Excellent communication from the owner who checked the requirements for our party. The decor is tasteful and sympathetic to the building. It is Covid secure. The food was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal. The beef was beautifully cooked. The staff were efficient and friendly. This is without doubt the best meal I have had out in a long time and I look forward to returning again soon.

Visiting the area for a few days post lockdown and eaten well everywhere.However this place was the best !Very local and very friendly.Exceptional, complex flavours on a plate.Good value for the quality of service and food.Would definitely recommend and would happily return.Update: we returned the next day and had another superb meal.The family were just as friendly and the food equally excellent 😊

Lovely restaurant...Great decor and friendly relaxed atmosphere. Food was fantastic...Good choice, locally sourced produce, cater for gluten and dairy free.

Fabulous experience, the food was exemplary particularly the soufflé and the mackerel. Very friendly welcome and kind knowledgeable staff. Will definitely dine here again when next in the area
