Palmers Garden Centre restaurant in South Somerset

Went with my wife to make a small purchase. Kept waiting at the till while the only person manning them had an extended chat with his mate. He paid no attention to us at all. Disgusting customer service. If I could give negative stars I would.

Great value and service. Had a large Belgium bun and a Mocha coffee. Went there with a friend. Would recommend. Great selection of food and drink.

Not quite sure what's going on with the cafe at Palmers. This used to be our go to for a nice treat for lunch out or a Sunday lunch. I am all for giving a second chance, but the last visit was strike 3. Portions on Sunday lunch have shrunk and quality deminished. Lunch meals quality has strangely reduced in size and quality, where has the lovely chunky bread gone that came with the goats cheese salad? Replaced by a slice of processed loaf. Finaly a simple piece of chocolate cake, as dy as a chip and stale. come on Palmers get the food back to the standards your great staff deserve.

Nice place to just walk around,even if you don't buy anything. I won't pretend its cheap, but it's all good stuff. Not just gardening and café, but pet stuff posh cakes, biscuits and nice stuff for gifts.

Came today for a goats cheese salad that I have had for years there and was very disappointed. The cheese was almost melted rather than grilled and the bread we used to get a chunky piece instead now it is sliced. Very disappointed as was my friend who had an omelette that was crispy and dry. She said the chips were terrible too. Needless to say the group of us 8 will not be returning for food

Expensive and very limited choice if you're Vegan, hardly anything suitable. Staff didnt understand difference between Vegan and vegetarian. Nice cooked breakfast tho, attention to hygiene reassuring. Smiley helpful shop staff.

Really disappointed with lunch! Ordered a jacket potato with cheese and bacon, the menu stated oven cooked and wasn’t cheap, so was expecting a nice fresh hot jacket. What arrived was either from the freezer or left overs from maybe the day before, wasn't even hot. The cheese and bacon was processed, the cheese didn’t even melt! All the food reminded me of school dinners or a work canteen! The staff seem friendly and the cup of tea was nice that's why it’s not one star. Won’t be going back!

I went for a Sunday morning English breakfast. And it was good. The scrambled eggs were very tasty. Plenty of friendly helpful staff too. Thankyou.

All good nice people in there the only thing was not very much in there for me as a coeliac. But I did get a bacon sandwich with gluten free bread chris

Ordered steak,waitress then came out to say they didn't have it , asked for a jacket potato , didn't have any , so went for the all day breakfast , worst breakfast I have ever had , fried bread solid , egg dry , plate running in grease and water.
