Pen Mill Hotel in South Somerset

We went for the carvery on Sunday which was absolutely superb, three meats available, Turkey, beef and gammon.Lots of well cooked(not overdone!) Veggies and Yorkshires, gravy by the bucket load too.Not the cheapest around at £15 per person plus a beer each so bang goes 40 quid but was delicious. I'll be going back, see you there!!

Sunday carvery: generous portions of tasty meat and a large selection of well cooked vegetables. Polite attentive serving staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Probably a bit pricey but enjoyable nevertheless.

We were asked to finish our meal because they needed the table for their next customer. We wanted to finish the meal with coffee but we couldn't because of this . This applies even if you are kept waiting for thirty minutes for your main course.

We stopped here for lunch and to meet friends on our way down to Somerset. We were not disappointed at all. We searched high and low for a pub/resturant that served food on a Monday lunch time and these guys were the only ones. Easy parking and well presented facilities. The greeting was good with smiley staff (which hid behind masks), the decor was nice and clean and tables well spaced out. The menu was quite big and we were spoilt for choice. We had a fish finger sandwhich with triple cooked fries and side salad..... lovely !. As were we leaving it started to get busy so ensure to book to avoid disappointment.Loos were hygenically clean and smelt fresh. Good value for money starters, mains and deserts. We had a lovely lunch and would definately recommend to anyone.

We've just had our Christmas get together here with family and friends. Absolutely brilliant evening was had by all. Food excellent, every member of staff were fantastic, very attentive. It's extremely well run with the owner always taking a personal interest in his clients, he's very hands on. Personally I've been a client over a number of years now and never had a bad meal. It's just a brilliant place to get together with family and friends. I would highly recommend the Pen Mill Hotel. Well done and congratulations to Team Pen Mill.

Went to The Pen Mill last night with 10 other people and it Was amazing had a lovely meal, the staff were lovely and nothing was too much for them service was great. The atmosphere was amazing beautifully decorated for Christmas. Would I recommended IT?? Absolutely 💯

The food was good and fairly priced (2 of us had the veggie curry and 1had the ribeye steak) but what really made the evening was the staff. From the manager greeting us and taking us to our table to the attentive and friendly waiting staff, each and every member was a credit to Pen Mill. They took the time to talk, were very attentive-without being intrusive-and they were all so friendly.

I’ve had the pleasure of two separate evenings out this week for meals at the Pen Mill. The food has been great but a special mention must go to the member of staff called Charlotte. She has dealt with different allergies brilliantly and done everything she could to ensure our evenings have been safe and extremely enjoyable.Thoroughly recommend the Pen Mill for a wonderful evening out.

Fantastic, very welcoming, made a last minute booking for a table for two. No problem. Warmly welcomed. Great customer service from genuinely relaxed and pleasant staff who obviously enjoy their job. Quietly attentive waiting staff who were engaging. Excellent all round. Customer care is obviously a high priority here. Will definitely go again.

Hotel that accepts dogs is hard to find, so glad we found Pen Mill, we stayed one night. It is a lovely hotel, small but with a big heart. The accommodation was spotless, everything you need and very comfortable bed. Has a welcome atmosphere the staff were very warm and friendly and food delicious. Big car park. Lovely walk nearby for the dog. Would highly recommend.
