Brilliant food, the best burger I've had for years, friendly staff, couldn't fault it.

Well run, good locals pub with a friendly atmosphere. Food was great. Looking forward to visiting again but maybe stay in the accommodation and enjoy a live band next time.

Really lovely lunch here. Small meals for the oldies were perfect. Lots of vegan options for me. Jolly couple running the pub too.

Although we had not booked a table and arrived 10minutes after lunch service was meant to end, we were made welcome and enjoyed delicious carvery’s and sticky toffee pudding - both delicious! Will definitely visit again, thank you.

Good vibe, nice hosts - food was a let down.Starter of Calamari comprised three rings of Calamari a small portion of garlic mayo and a very small portion of bistro style salad. At 7 and a bit pounds, very poor value.Prawn salad was terrible. The prawns were the smallest and cheapest of all and were rubbery and so small that shrimp would have been a more appropriate name.The actual salad component was good with plenty of tasty leaves alongside cherry tomatoes and a nice to see addition of beetroot.In defense of the landlord, the salad was removed from my bill, with just a forlorn 'no one has complained before' murmur, which did make it slightly awkward but there was no fuss.Sorry guys, but speak as one finds and all that.Will try again in the future - if I'm still welcome lol 😆

Such a lovely pub! Welcoming and fitted us in despite us turning up on spec and the pub fully booked later in the evening.Good food and beer in a very charming and relaxing atmosphere; all you could ask for.

Brilliant landlords super helpful, opened the back room and skittle alley for 11 of us (and 3 dogs) when we had no booking and produced an excellent meal of pup grub in record time. No brainer if you are.in the area, we will definitely be back

We have an amazing home cooked Christmas meal. Everything was lovely. The pub itself was very welcoming and the staff very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend and looking to return.

Another lovely meal at the Phelips; this time as a couple. Once again, the food was delicious (many vegetarian options), the ambiance was perfect and the service was spot on. To top it off, The Phelips is dog friendly. We will be back again soon.

Charles, Tricks and Co are just so welcoming. The pub offers great quality Palmers Ales on cask. Great beer combined with a tasty menu make this pub a must visit. Daily lunch and dinner specials and brilliant hosts behind the bar. Thank you!
