Railway Carriage Cafe in South Somerset

Lovely ambience. You can have your meals in a railway carriage, double decker bus or in a covered area.There is also a farm shop to the side of the cafe. The farm shop has grown since I last went. I had a double cookie and my friend had a chocolate brownie. Both had coffee as a drink. The only criticism about the cafe is there are no prices of the food or drink shown so you dont know what you are spending but the sweet treats were delicious and very sweet. Yum! Yum!

We happened upon Pip's quite by chance and were very grateful to be found a space as they were incredibly busy for a Wednesday in March.The staff were so helpful, the food filling and incredibly flavoursome...and what can you say about the cake...? There are no words to describe the gloriousness that was dessert!!Yes, expensive, but a gloriously quirky setting (we ate atop the double decker) and SOOOO worth it. Spoil yourself! Enjoy the cake....Then pop next door to the shop, another treat entirely.

A long awaited, much anticipated visit to pips, and it didn't disappoint.Beware, the plates are definitely small like they describe, and it is quite pricey, but its worth it. The flavours are amazing, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into every detail. The desserts were next level and a good enough reason to visit alone.The atmosphere is lovely, design stunning and service spot on.

Amazing place! My favourite place to eat by far. Friendly staff, very efficient, food is excellent.Love the booths, nice and private, each one has heating and individually decorated in a theme.Highly recommend.

Heavenly every visit! I've been to Pips many times pre covid regulations and since. I'm so impressed with absolutely everything they do. Whether you eat in or take away you are guaranteed perfection and a fantastic service!

One of my favourite 'treat lunch' venues, and a great midpoint for a catch up with friends. Have seen Pips carriage cafe develop over the last 6 odd years, absolutely love the new carriage booths for a more private dining experience. The food is always delicious, and the team are very open to suggestions for improvements. The new small plates menu makes for a slightly more expensive dining experience, but this is complimented by the opportunity to try more flavours, it would always be possible to order less dishes and have a lower bill, but I'm very happy to pay more and try more delicious dishes!
