Karen who runs the wedding planning at this hotel is amazing, kind and just the best person to make you feel so relaxed and comfortable. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did for me and my wife. Our wedding day ran so smoothly and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was so helpful and made our day absolutely perfect in every way possible. So again thank you Karen you are truly amazing. Highly recommend Many thanks Kat & terry

I would love to say a fantastic place to stay, but certainly not worth the money of £110 for the night! Bathroom sink was dirty, no plug and scratched to death tap, the toilet needed a good bleach and do not get me started on either side of the toilet!! The bath had rails, great...but rust running down the walls! Also the sealant needed a good bleach, no need for marks these days! The bed creaked and was rock hard!! Also for this cost I do not expect to see a dirty lampshade and painting needed! What a shame. They charged me and extra £10.00 for my dog, which was cleaner than the bathroom ..shocking really!!3 ladies behind the desk, all looked a little confused. I had asked for a downstairs room due to being disabled, idiot but had to go through so many fire doors, I was too tired to go out after....very disappointing there was no restaurant open either...so yep paid for a dirty bathroom and hard uncomfortable bed!

Staying here tonight. Got here at 11.15pm and I have to be up at 7am, I've just travelled over 250 miles and im desperate to get some sleep and instead I've had to change rooms twice! BOTH times the toilets were not cleaned and stained which sums up the overall hygiene level for this hotel. AVOID at all costs!

Rooms showing age, with peeling wallpaper and poor bathrooms. Also disappointing to have no evening meal options.

Staying here at the moment traveled down from Edinburgh on Tuesday got there about 6.30 to be told that the restaurant wasn't open so no dinners were being served but there is breakfast. So after driving 10 hours I had to go and get something to eat not very good. The staff are lovely the rooms are a bit dated I am In a room with two fire doors on the outside bang all the time so you get woken whenever someone uses them

Clean and tidy. Helpful staff. Whole building is really hot. Nice breakfast. Slightly odd decor and a few bits are slightly tatty. Overall, pretty good value.

Bit run down. There was a door between my room and the next one along which allows sound and light through, meaning disturbed sleep. My neighbour also tried the handle in the middle of the night which woke me up.I was put in a twin room with two tiny beds so had to rearrange.Breakfast was limited. Not a great hotel for the price.

On the plus side, we had a large room and the staff were very pleasant. On the minus side, as other commentators have observed, the hotel badly needs a refurbishment with stained carpets, marked wallpaper and, in our case, a very creaky bed.The hotel had rung us to say that they are now doing cooked breakfasts instead of the unappealing breakfast bags. This is only partly true. They are doing cooked breakfasts at the weekend, but not during the week and as we were staying Saturday and Sunday night, that only covered one breakfast during our stay. Moreover, the receptionist warned us that they had a group of 58 people in on Saturday night and they would be breakfasting en masse at 8.00 the following morning, so he advised us to come down at 9.30. We had plans that meant we had to be out of the hotel before then, so no breakfast on Sunday morning either. We could see how crowded the restaurant was and would not have enjoyed fighting that crowd for a seat. Similarly, we could not get in the bar the night before because it was packed when we tried. It is obvious that the public rooms are not large enough for the number of guests.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful outside space surrounded by farms and ponds. If you are planning to get married there I suggest to use the garden for taking photos under those large trees on the left side. Employees are extremely kind and helpful. Ceremony room is quite spacious and very bright.
