Stopped here for lunch on the way to Devon. So glad we did! So friendly, large garden, food was great and my wife who is coeliac and needs everything gluten free said it was one of the best burgers she'd ever had. We'll be back when next in the area.

Closer to a restaurant in terms of food quality and atmosphere (around 6-8pm). Definitely worth a stop if you are coming through!

This is one of my favourite village pubs anywhere.It's a large pub with plenty of seating in the bar area and in a spacious conservatory as well as a whopping great beer garden.The food is outstanding, a cut above your ordinary pub grub but with enough on the menu for those wanting traditional fare.The hard-working team that runs it deserves every success. They are all so friendly and accommodating.

Great pub for lunch and a rest when travelling to west country. We often stop here, service is always very friendly. Nice log fire in winter and garden in the summer. Good selections of light and larger meals. Also recommend leaving some space for dessert as they are great! Most recently had the chocolate selection (see pic). Will be back on next trip to south west.

Have seen some bad reviews here, but cannot understand why? We booked for 4 for Sunday lunch yesterday (1.12.2019) The first time we have visited and eaten here. The staff were more than welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and in our opinion cooked perfectly. Portion size plentiful, but not much left on our plates when we had finished. Will definately visit again. Must be lovely in the garden in the summer. Thanks to all!

Fantastic pub. Visited for Sunday Lunch. The food was perfect, excellent quality meat and veg all cooked just right. Even the kids meals are home made, no packet rubbish. Nice selection of local ales. Very friendly and helpful staff. If this was more local we would definitely be regulars.
