Dropped in en route to Cornwall. Had a nice pint and ham egg and chips for lunch. Good portions, well priced. Nice and helpful staff.

Our second visit here in about 3 years, visiting friends. Luckily arrived as the beer festival began so tried 3 different wonderful bitters, Stag, Mad Hatter and the name of the third escapes me (strange name for a bitter!!!). Not having had it for years, I ordered the braised beef, thinking I would probably end up with a couple of slices; what arrived was a huge hunk of beef, beautifully cooked, accompanied by a variety of veg and a red wine sauce; delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive and made for an even better visit than our first one. If we had not been staying with our friends not far away, I would have had no hesitation in staying at The Haymaker and may even do so in future!

What a gem of a pub! Visited briefly at lunchtime for a cheeky pint with my dogs. Otter plus three Exmoor beers. I had an excellent Otter. Friendly and welcoming staff. Will go back to try the food for sure as there were lots of people tucking in happily!

Nice place. I’ve been there once with my family. Good choose of beers, food is very good, portions are very big - suggest to order 1 for 2 kids. The working time is a bit odd to me (they work from 12 to 14-15 and next from 6pm)

Roast dinner was so tasty and the home made raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was beautiful. They even accommodate 2 fussy kids. The kids chicken nuggets tasted exactly like Chinese chicken balls they are amazing!!! The kids had ice cream for pudding and the waitress made the kids day with topping the ice cream with sauce and sprinkles. First time both kids finished with smiles on their faces! Definitely visiting again very soon
