Fantastic lunch today. A true gem in a traditional setting. Great pub menu and super service from Dawn. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended .

Came down to see my sister, first time coming to the Nags Head, we chose Liver & Bacon, with vegetables on the side,x 2. Excellent meal, lovely service and friendly staff would definitely recommend.

Lovely little pub with a nice atmosphere, friendly greeting with a genuine smile from the barmaid who made me feel very welcome.Had the whitebait starter followed by the lambs liver and onions, portion of liver could have been a bit more generous but that said, both were superb.I highly recommend.I will be returning.

The sun was far too bright and this has effected my judgement, everybody was suoer kind, and our waitor deserved special proprs for removing seven wasps from our immediate vacinity. We were terrified for the intwrior workers but it appears nobody was seriously injured.

Called around about 15 places on trip-advisor who were fully booked (thanks to eat out to help out), so we were grateful that the Nag’s Head could accommodate us.We received a friendly welcome as we stepped into this old school country pub (dark wood everywhere with red upholstery) and were shown to our table.The waitress was warm and did a great job and the food came out fairly quickly.It was all well presented and well cooked, but portion sizes weren’t huge and we weren’t blown away.It was their first week doing eat out to help out, as initially he only asked for £11.70 (for 4 adults and 2 children), but after I explained I didn’t want to rip them off, it came back as just under £40.Not a bad experience (and surprisingly friendly from some of the negative reviews on here), but nothing to write home about either.

Lunchtime walk from Coat to the Nags Head pub Martock where we enjoyed our lunches - one sausage and mash, one macaroni cheese and bottle of wine, then delicious puds. Great atmosphere, great food and warm welcome to us and our dog. Really good value. Now planning another trip from home in Cornwall.
