The Rusty Axe in South Somerset

All pretty good. The breads are amazing. However we turned up to a very empty restaurant on a Saturday night when it should have been heaving. I'd have thought this place would have been better supported by the locals. It would be a shame if this doesn't work out.

Great food and exceptional service.We ordered food from Sparkles at The Rusty Axe for the second time since opening and once again we couldn’t fault it.The food was full of flavour and good portion sizes.The service we received when collecting the food was second to none. We were told it would be 20 minutes and it was prepared exactly to time fresh and hot!We even got a valentines cupcake to go with our meal.Can’t wait to order from you again 😊

Really enjoyed my curry from sparkles and whilst they have had some teething issues getting up and running the owner is very helpful in trying to rectify any issues. Food is full of flavour and I can't want to order another from them! Top class restaurant

Tried them on 3 occasions and had issues with every order! Latest curry was like water!! Went in the bin! Reported it to them and didn't even offer a replacement or refund! Small portions and expensive prices! Don't waste your money folks

Stembridge ‘Rusty Axe’. You don’t get much for your money, taste is OK I guess but in Martock you get much more (plus free Poppadoms). The number on the website is disconnected so had to phone Exeter to get the owners mobile number. May try again down the line, but Martock is easily my preference for now.

Staff welcoming but found large number of customers at one time a little daunting. Food a little restricted for lunchtime. F&C 's very nice also vegetarian tart.

What a lovely country pub. If you like the rustic look this is for you! That being said I believe the new owners are planning to do it up. Hopefully it won't lose its character in the make-over.
