We went to The Trough for Sunday lunch and were very pleased with the very up to date restaurant and the quality of the food and pleasantness of the service. The restaurant which is placed at the entrance to the farm has a wonderful view over the Somerset countryside.

Great venue, sadly our dear uncle had passed away and we were recommended The Trough as a venue to celebrate his life and our memories of him with close friends and relatives. The location was perfect, food outstanding, staff excellent and very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant, cafe and toilets are all spotlessly clean and modern. If I lived closer I would visit each week, but highly recommend.

Lovely setting. Panoramic views across countryside. Excellent cafe/restaurant.

Went here with my partner and her parents for breakfast. Such a lovely setting, so clean and the whole cafe was beautifully designed. Views looking outside were also delightful. As you can see the breakfast was tastey. Lovely waiters would come here again.

I love this place. The friendly service, the wonderful views, the great atmosphere. I just wish they had a little more selection on the menu - a great pasta dish perhaps, or a lovely risotto?

Stumbled across Trough on a recent visit to Yeovil from Bristol. What a find. Not your typical farm shop.A lovely place with a separate coffee area and a larger restaurant area.Warm, cosy, great service (and great cake portion sizes !!)Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Beautiful place! Incredible view, very peaceful. Strong cocktails, halloumi burger was fantastic, and the room we stayed in was perfect. Will definitely come again next time were in the area

A birthday gave us an opportunity to look for a nice place for brunch. We were recommended The Trough by friends in Yeovil. We chose the Smashed Avocado and the minute steak brunch. The avocado breakfast was delicious and I was really full when eating it. The steak was a bit chewy and fatty and my husband did not particularly enjoy his meal. He ate everything though but I was glad I made my choice and not have the steak which had been my first choice meal. We stayed after the food and had tea. It's a great place to sit and chat and it's beautifully designed and decorated. I will go back again but will stick to veggie food.

We stopped off for breakfast and made a last minute reservation and everything was exceptional. Excellent food, coffee and service (the staff were so friendly and efficient) plus the location and building itself was absolutely stunning. An utter gem of a place!
