Went on a busy Sunday hadn't booked only wanted something light - light bite's available - served promptly pleasant staff nice outside play area for the children - will revisit

Not been here for a while but offers a wide selection of different meals for the whole family and not to badly priced

Sunny day and sat outside in the garden. Great views. Good food and good portions. Came quickly and hot. Inside clean and tidy and welcoming. Dog friendly a plus.

6 of us had a very enjoyable evening. Food very good and drinks. With the exception of 2 Lasagnes, we all had something different. Thank you.

Very disappointed with the barman. We booked a specific table but found somebody else occupying it. He was not in the least bit bothered. The food was very good thankfully

Terrible food...honestly thought the burger would be something I'd serve to dogs. Very disappointed. Shame as lovely pub garden and nice enough staff. But the food really lets this place down.

Went for a carvery for Mother's Day. Lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent. They also don't gatekeep the Yorkshire puddings which some places seem to do.

I can honestly say that it is the pits. I used to live in Crewkerne many years ago and was visiting Dorset and decided to meet up with friends there for an evening meal as it used to be brilliant. Where do I start!!!!1. It is the most tatty place you could ever imagine. It does not look like the carpet and decor has changed in 34 years since I was last there. The carpets were threadbare and filthy, tables sticky and seats very uncomfortable.2. The food was AWFUL 😖. No buns for the burgers so we chose naked - no discount offered for a burger - the bun. My friends wife's burger was incinerated. My wife's curry was questionable to say the least (heaven only knows what the meat was supposed to be). The coffee's were the worst I have ever had.3. Last orders were called at 8.30pm (which actually was, in hindsight a plus as it enabled us to escape early!!!). At 9pm we were nearly locked in the car park as they were locking it up!!!This is a place to be avoided. I'm surprised it's not been shut down. It will be another 34 years until I visit it again and as that would make me 104 years old I doubt that I will again!!!!

Our personal experience was disappointing from first stepping into the pud we where greeted by a young barman that didn't seem to want to interact or be polite, I thought being in the hospitality industry that was to be polite an greet people respectfully, we haven't been in the Windwhistle pub for a while , the interior was tied and in need of some attention it had a peculiar smell about it also inside around the bar area it put us of from eating here, the carpets where filthy and the decor was quite depressingly dull an dirty. The outside car park area wasn't that great too untidy mess an junk spilling from the entrance to the carpark. It is a tragedy that such pub has fallen into such a mess. An hope it can return back respectfully .

Lovely pub, friendly staff, good lasagne and well kept beer. Food a little slow to come but the staff made it clear up front that the kitchen was swamped. Will certainly stop again.
