Best pub in the area, great beer, great staff, great food and a great beer garden what more could you ask for. Staff are always very accommodating especially Louisa, Alana, Kylie and Nathan. They also allow dogs and always make a fuss of our fur babies.

We stopped here to charge are car (2 Osprey chargers in car park) service was friendly and quick. Drinks where nice and food was good. 2 4 1 on Sunday excellent value the money we saved on food paid for the charging. Will be stopping here again next time we are driving from Cornwall to London.

Came down with my mum for just a quick bite to eat and a refreshing drink. The weather was lovely outside and I asked a team member (Micheal) if it was possible to be moved outside because the weather was so nice. He was very helpful and friendly and we were recollected in good time. We were served by himself, and Reece who brought out our food. He was equally polite and friendly, both very approachable staff members. Great visit all round!

We came for lunch and whilst the booking said 11.30am - The Wagtail does not open until 12noon.However Louisa and her staff were excellent - invited us in to sit and wait out of the torrential rain - and then sorted us out with coffees.Food was excellent as ever. Service very prompt. Never fails. All round another good meal. We will be coming back again when we're working down near Wincanton again.

If you’re in the Travelodge it’s not a bad place for food as it’s just over the road. This is fairly average pub grub, the 2-1 on mains are a nice offer. This place won’t blow your socks away but for the price it’s ok. The staff are friendly and attentive. The place does need overhauling as others have suggested as the inside is incredibly dated.

Exceptionally helpful and obliging when our group of eight adults, four toddlers and a baby found ourselves in the rain looking for a Sunday lunch as the venue we had booked unfortunately wasn't suitable. Friendly service, good food and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Very good.Friendly service. We shared nachos to start. Then I had the cold and chips my husband had the burger. He said his burger was overcooked to his liking. My fish was lovely and the chips were really nice. Overall a good experience and excellent value

We had a mid week lunch here. It was fairly quiet with plenty of space between occupied tables. Service was good and the meals (2 cowboy burgers) arrived quickly and were nicely cooked. The double burger was more than enough!

Stopped here just because we were in town with some work and only got drinks and a desert, as the reviews didn't look great and also the food we saw while we were waiting.Very disappointed with the drinks too...We order Tiki Lemonade Cocktail and a Sailor Jerry which supposed to have alcohol in it but there was none, and it came in glasses that weren't really clean...

So I decided to try this pub for an evening meal as I’m currently working away and it’s right next to my Travelodge.Looks nice enough from the outside, clearly a fairly new building (a few years old at best) but the inside is incredibly dated with its carpet and decor! Something you’d expect from the late 90’s. They could of done much better! The greeter was very friendly and polite/helpful.You’ll notice the meals are priced quite steeply for pub grub, this is because everything is 2-4-1, which is good if there is actually 2 of you, but when your on your own it’s not good value - even if they offer you a dessert instead of another main.I actually opted for 2x steak dinners, but asked for the extra steak on the same plate, don’t worry about the rest just give me a normal portion to which they happily said yes they can do that. The steak was ok, nothing special - it’s a shame they don’t offer a ribeye or even a fillet as they’re far nicer in my opinion.I actually left without paying by accident, but realised and went back 10 mins later to square up the bill!! Wooops.Overall not a bad place, and probably good value when dining as a couple with the offer. Just needs updating decor wise.
